Hi Mike,

Finally got access to Connected Drive, but can't fully add the car as it requests a confirmation code in the app that you need to approve on the car itself.

Yes, I do hope that everything goes to plan from a shipping perspective (but out of respect for the people affected by the recent hurricane), if delayed, then I'm fine with that as lives have been affected massively and at the end of the day, it's just a car!

I hope you get the necessary updates you need to see your drivers guide and the car appearing in the Connected Drive App.

Did you get that info from the Online Chat with a "Genius"? I checked mine with them yesterday and was told 5055, however today a "BMW insider" informed me that mine was at 5300 - Pre Assembly Start. Not sure if the Genius guys have somewhat delayed data!

Will be an upgrade from my GLC43 then...

This week, came to NYC and paid to hire a Nissan Ultima, the rentral co didn't have that so gave me a BMW 530 so this was my first experience with the IDrive and other BMW controls.. drove me mental as couldn't sync the IPhone to the IDrive system.. only managed to sync it on the drive back to the airport... Cant wait to check out IDrive 7 which gives full screen apple play display...

I think you'll find that its reality it is probably further along than that (5055).. This morning I received the email adding that mine has gone to Paint Shop, when in reality, as it is at 5300, it has already been through the paint shop.

Hey Loch, couldn't agree more, it's only a material thing and folks in Bahamas have lost everything, some including their lives !

ConnectedDrive portal now recognises VIN, but as you say, sends a confirmation code to the car that is only valid for 4 hours, so will have to wait until the end f October when it is in my possession (hopefully) to finalise.

VIN still not working in Drivers Guide app though !

Strange that the VIN isn't working for the Driver Manual as that for me worked first before the Connected Drive App recognised it...

I have read through that the IR camera seems to be included in the car for attentiveness assistant function, but not sure if it is just a generic mention of it for all ID7 cars.

Not too much longer to wait...

Are you having to travel far to get your car from the dealer you purchased from?

UK orders... heads up, my car completed build on the 24th August, moved to status 9000 on the 26th August and is still at this stage. Apparently it hasn't boarded a ship, so there appears to be a 2 week lead time minimum at the moment, or I'm just unlucky

The arrival week has now been pushed back by 1 week

Probably because of the hurricane that came up the East coast. Many southeast coast ports were closed for several days. Be happy that your car was not on a boat.

Yeah, I managed to add the car to ConnectedDrive portal, which then generated the code to the car before you can progress any further. Tried Drivers Guide again 5 min ago and it seems to have accepted the VIN and downloading the vehicle information

In terms of collecting, I managed to get my local dealer (5 min down the road) to better the exceptional Carlow quote from a dealer over 150 miles away, so not to far to go to collect.
