Tired shocks
Have 107k on my 2008. I think the ride is becoming pretty bouncy, as reported by friends and family. I guess I didn’t really notice over the years. Can I get recommendations for replacement shocks/struts? My ride preference is comfort over performance. Preferably not OEM units, since they will be exorbitantly priced no doubt.

bilstein, but they're pricey...don't have any personal experience since I've yet to have bad shocks/struts. If you want to save $$, see if you can get some from either ebay or salvage yard.

Never thought of Bilstein as ‘comfort’ oriented. Thought they were all about performance.

You may be right....I've just seen some people install them...There's a big thread on shocks/struts here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=606865
I'd just read through that and see if that will help determine ride quality on aftermarket stuff. |
