Hi bud...I’m based on the GC
Was wondering what I could fit as aftermarket wheels as the stock M40i 21” just don’t sit out far enough.
Was thinking of spacers but now after seeing this might go a similar way.
So no rubbing on guards?
What type of wheel are they? Can’t find many 21”
And most importantly....what the hell did that big set of rubber cost?

Cheers bud, I need to get more photos for sure. I'll share once I can.

I actually will be posting up my Eibach spacers for sale if you're interested? I used them on my 21 stockies and they were great in pushing out the gap.

The wheels are BC Forged, custom 2 piece.

What did you guys have to do to reset the TPMS sensors on the aftermarket wheels? I'm getting the TPMS malfunction warning. I tried selecting other wheel sizes from the OEM 19". And drive it and its reading up to around 50% and fails.
Thoughts?

Figured it out. For anyone having a TPM Malfunction when it gets stuck around 49% and then fails. Get your sensors checked.
2 of my brand new sensors are bad for whatever reason.

Was going to comment that sounded like faulty TPMS. I bought OEM ones for my aftermarket winters, no issues whatsoever

Yes you're right OEM is the easiest solution. But they are the metal looking stems. I cant have that with black wheels with my attention to detail so they need to black too.
Just so happened that they are defective brand new, not that big of a deal now that I know what the issue is.

This one kinda allows you to see the rim slightly contrasted to the tyre.

What would be the best spacers size for the oem 21” wheels for X4 M40? 12mm + 15mm?

Depends on how wide out you want to go. There are posts here showcasing both sizes for reference. If youre an aggressive stance type of guy 15. If you want something only slightly wider 12.

I was thinking 12mm fronts and 15mm rears. Is it ok or same all around?

G'day mate, I have just installed wheels from Koya. I think they are based on the GC or Brisbane, very easy to deal with.

Mine were 21 x 10.5 ET32 rear with 21 x 9 ET15 front.
SF10's one of the few available in 21 from them, approx $650 a corner
https://www.koya.com.au/product/sf10...1-semi-forged/

Both add about 20mm offset from stock.

Unfortunately Koya don't go any lower offset than a 15 at the front, otherwise I would have gone more like an ET10.

If you are buying new tyres at the same time I'd go 10.5 all round, as it would fit fine and looks better.

Nice one, great to see more Aussies repping here!

I looked and considered the Koya's also, turned out great on yours!!

How much clearance do you have to the front strut?
And do you have a picture with the front wheels straight to see how the wheels fit in the arches?

I'm looking at a set of 10.5x21" et31 on all 4. Curious if they will clear the front strut.

Hi Frode,

My apologies I just edited my post. I have 21x9's on the front - mistakenly wrote 10.5, I mainly went this way as I have lots of life left on my standard tyres, and 245's obviously won't go onto a 10.5.

There are a few guys who have gone with a 10 or 10.5 up front, so they should be good for this info.
I've a feeling ET 31 will be too aggressive though, I believe an ET 35 with a 10.5 may have been mentioned elsewhere.

Thanks for clarifying the widths.

I guess I'll just have to wait until my car arrives and do some measurements myself.
