DEC switch retrofit

Hi everyone,

I am trying to retrofit the DEC switch in my 2012 BMW X3 xDrive35. I have plugged a wire from ICM 31 to DEC 5 and a wire from ICM 45 to DEC 4 and I have already VO coded 2TB and 4U2 in the car. However, nothing shows up at a cluster nor idrive display, when I try to switch modes, and I also get errors 48010D and 48010E.

Can anyone help me with that? Thank you in advance.

Just to tie this off, I did get it working in my 2011 X3 35i.
It's similar to the F10 retrofit, but the ICM is lower down and the connector is accessible from the back underneath. If you pull off the cover underneath the rear vents, it will be right under the carpet. Make a cut in the carpet to access the connector and make the connections. The key difference for an X3 is ICM pin11 goes to DES switch pin4 and ICM pin10 to DES switch pin5.

Hope this helps anyone trying to do this!
