My 30d is also showing as released to distribution.

If the VIN is clear of updates then it should go directly to Southampton.

My SA recons mine should arrive into Southampton 3rd week of September.

The ship may still go to Bremerhaven but your car probably won't get off there and onto Southampton after that

July has been and gone the delivery date they gave me was totally off and they never seem to let us know till directly that the RAM retrofit could potentially add another 8 weeks delay. All of us here seem to know more than the dealers and geniuses it really doesn't make BMW look good. I am aware of the world situation and yeah it won't all be BMWs fault since the world is a bit fucked at the moment but things are never really communicated well at a.

it's hard to stay excited about actually getting the car and if I knew it would have possibly taken 11-12 months it's looking like by the time I get it I would have just not bothered.

Ill try my best to remain hopeful! I did see messages about how the RAM retrofits could be more refined and quicker than it used to be so if anyone has had a recent ram retrofit I would appreciate it they could share their timeline or how long it took from arrival to Bremerhaven to arrival at Southampton
Yes it is BMWs fault. North American customers are getting theirs in 4 weeks or sometimes less. If they can do that then there is no excuse. Sure we have to add shipping time, but that is 4 weeks tops. They could send some from the US to Europe to balance up the leadtimes across the world, but they don't. That and the fact that the comms on what is happening is non existent, it's a pretty poor show all round.

Well North American here and they decided to make mine in South Africa...and then ship it to Germany for chips, then a stop in Belgium, and now on its way to the US. So there is fun for BMW customers all over the world.

Wow! What happened there? All the Americans on the X3 Facebook group are getting theirs quickly. Just had a scroll back to the last person who mentioned it and he had just received his June order.

I think there is some mystery set of options that causes a South African instead of US build...dealer was clueless too. Told me 4-6 weeks.

But if you look around at US dealer stock, can see quite a few South African builds.

After my experience with BMW I wouldn't be surprised if they flip a coin per vehicle order for where it's built

I also ordered mine November 21 and its looking like an October 22 delivery for me, that's a crazy long delay. Have you been given any build week estimates at all?

If I recall correctly I was told my car was build complete on the 10th of June, then arrived at the port on the 19th of June, I think the portal took a few days to reflect this however as I think it showed up on the portal around the 21st or 22nd of June.

My car then sat there for a while (longer than I've seen people in this thread report) and finally left on a ship on the 15th of July.

(extra info just to share and put things in context about potential rest of journey)

Then arrived in Bremerhaven on the 8th of August 2022 and now just waiting 3-6 weeks for that to be completed and on to England. Still, hopefully, your car doesn't have a recall on and need to go to Bremerhaven for the retrofit.

Once it's arrived in the UK could take anywhere from 7-10 days from customs till delivery

StoutyAlex

Thanks for the info buddy

Im no stranger to all this if you read through previous threads I already waited 9 months for a defective pile of crap that was rejected and now become a loaner.

This is my replacement car they told me last night my status is 165 which is not a listed status code I'm told it means its on route to Bremahaven!!!
The car has no outstanding recalls so does not need RAM update but apparently they still go to unload LHD cars.

Just curious why the shipping portal can't pick up my VIN number :

Wonder where the Russian allocation is now going?

Made me think as I was in a Rolex AD and they were telling me that the Russian stock is now all going to the UK & US Maket due to sanctions...
