Fitted some carbon splash guards which I purchased from Automotive Passion. https://automotivepassion.net/produc...ards-mudflaps/

I’d say they are an 8/10. Because they are flat maybe 2mm thick carbon and not shaped to the contour of the arches. If the fitting holes were maybe 5mm further apart that would force them to bend slightly.

I’ve used some number plate tape to help them fit better but they still pull away slightly.

I did post this in the M steering wheel button thread but for those that might follow this thread and missed the other one I’ve retrofitted M steering wheel buttons. They are functional in that they change the driving modes unlike the competition models where they are just memory buttons.

I had a spare piano black center console trim carbon effect hydro dipped this week by a local company to me https://www.thehydroguys.co.uk/

I think they did a great job matching the color tone to the OEM BMW carbon already in the car. Cost of used trim £30 on eBay. Dipping £85. As the trim is OEM, fit is as good as before. For me this was a better option than the stick on Chinese carbon effect trims. It has a couple of coats of automotive lacquer on so should be well protected. If money wasn't no object, then obviously I’d have gone for the INDIV option but at about £850 delivered to the UK it wasn’t! So I went with the hydro dip instead.

hmmm... thats hydrodipped? That looks great... I would want it so it doesn't show the dust like the piano black (which I would not mind at all if it didn't get so dirty).

Also, one huge upside that the M cars have is the M buttons on the steering wheel... you don't know how useful that is until you no longer have it... even without memory, I'd want something on the wheel that gets me into sport / sport plus asap.

Fitted some X3MC style carbon side trims today. Went with non X3M badges as my car isn’t and retained the OEM wing badges. Carbon is flawless and the fit is spot on. Extremely pleased with these.

The only thing they don’t really show is getting the original spoiler off. Just give each side a thump with the palm of your hand while pulling backwards and the two trim clips will come away. That was the hardest part of removal.

There’s a thread on here somewhere where it shows what part of the flow through has the Betalink K1 is applied (very messy stuff). It’s much easier to fit and bond the spoilers off the car and leave them to set overnight. Refitting took about 5 minutes. It really is quite easy to do.

I quite like to look of the spoiler, it’s been in and out of my basket more times than I can remember.

I changed my OEM M Performance steering wheel carbon trim out for an aftermarket carbon trim with the same size carbon weave as the other OEM carbon trim. Also added a steering wheel top trim in carbon. All that’s left to do now is skin the centre console in carbon when the weather improves as although it looks ok hydro dipped it bothers me that it’s not real carbon.

It took a little bit of work to get the buttons to sit just right and flush and a bit of dremeling along the top at the rear where the button loom sits but I’m happy with the end result.

Obviously the fit of the OE trim was flawless compared to this one.

I would consider re-dipping the vent surround trim so that the carbon weave matches the direction of the weave in the steering wheel and center console…

Not to worry, I have a proper carbon one on the way with the weave in the correct direction for a RHD car. Also the preset button trim in carbon too

So in conjunction with njw1967 we commissioned some real carbon fibre parts to complete our interiors. Both our cars are spec’d with OEM carbon interiors. I’d already swapped out my centre console trim for a hydro dipped carbon effect finish but really wanted real carbon. I didn’t want to pay the INDIV price, I believe once taxes have been applied is near to £1,400, for the only available RHD carbon centre console. We also had the preset button trim done as well. This is real carbon overlayed on OEM BMW trims so the fit it perfect. First picture gives a comparison compared to OEM carbon fitted above the air vents.

Picked it up yesterday after its first professional detail.
Decontamination wash, clay bar, stage 1 polish and two year ceramic on the bodywork and wheels, six months on the glass. The paintwork and trim just look amazing. I’m very pleased. This is a two year old car that isn’t garaged. It looks better than new.
