I had my order canceled from them in April, I believe OP had his canceled as well. I wish I could have gone OEM but I snoozed on them when they arrived last year and now on backorder everywhere.

Hi thank you!! Yep I had them powdercoated gloss black. They definitely are easier to clean because they are now smooth and almost slippery. The place I used Kwicksilver in Brooklyn is great. They do amazing work and are super reliable. No peeling, chipping, etc. flawless and they really pop when they’re clean against the carbon black exterior.

I like the Cerium, especially with the darker colors. On the lighter colored cars like white and silver, I think the black really pops.

On my Carbon Black, I started out by just changing the grille to black, but then I thought the remaining Cerium pieces looked out of place so I changed everything else to black too (except the reflectors which match the paint). To my taste, all cerium or all black looks best.

I am impressed how many X3/X4 M40i have change the kidney grill to black. I thought it will be a more common modification for people with the regular X3/X4 (non M performance).

Question for you guys:
1) how hard it was to do the change?
2) if you change the grill, are you also going to change the mirror caps?

The grille was extremely easy to switch, it's just a couple of tabs that you push to pop it out, the new one snaps right in. I also switched the mirror cap and side vents. Still debating on the boomerangs.

Grille is super easy to change out.

I swapped all Cerium parts out for gloss black.
