No. Either kit (sub kit or speaker kit). Orders have to be in by April 15.

Amps can be a tricky business. My 2008 M Roadster has "Carver" amp.. nice amp; but BMW tied it into CANBUS and they use it for some of the sound processing - normally done by the head unit. In short, I cannot replace the head unit without also replacing the amp.

I think you just have to PM sinbad4. I haven't seen any indication that it fell through. The orders have to be placed by 4/15, as he has indicated in this thread.

Group Buy ended early.
Those that got in early scored. My BavSound kits delivered Sunday. I installed same day. I am surprised by how much improved the sound is and am now a huge BavSound fan. I regret more people weren't able to get in on the deal. They do run specials from time to time. You can send email to Justin Rowley, justin@bavsound.com and see if their are any current or upcoming deals.

I did not disconnect batter. I did not shut down head unit. I disconnected driver's seat, but the cable tie thing was sticky.. didn't really need to remove so I didn't. On the passenger side, I didn't disconnect cable at all. As you probably guessed, but I did not; I ended up with Restraint Error afterwards which didn't want to go away by itself. I used BimmerCode to code a value in the safety module. After BimmerCode does any code changes, it clears all errors. It cleared my Restraint Error. Including photo showing seat propped up still attached.

Subs are glued into the housing. Was a PITA to get out. Found heat helped. Heat gun along the front edge, then big screw driver hammered in and twisted. Funny enough, the hammer is the officially BavSound recommended tool - BavSound video take apart went easier than mine did:

I wish someone would remove all their speakers and then see which speakers actually transmit the engine sound to the cabin.
I bought the harness to bypass the noise and today while Idling I thought "there is no way that is NOT still being piped into the car!" Anyone want to be the tester? (a)Paul(d) |

I am not sure I understand the point of the experiment you are suggesting. Are you suggesting that there are some additional speakers in the car that are entirely dedicated to playing the engine sound? That is, these speakers operate on a completely different "circuit" from the speakers connected to the audio amplifier and the ASD module. Like there is a microphone in the engine bay and small amplifier somewhere in the car powering a speaker under the dash? If you disconnected the ASD module with the bypass harness, why don't you believe that what you hear is simply 100% the noise of the engine itself? Maybe I misunderstand your question.

Just use BimmerCode. Turning off ASD made easy... and lots of other goodies.
