Glossy black kidney grill and glossy black window trim set

Can anyone please recommend a glossy black kidney grill and a glossy black window trim set for a 2021 X3 and the website linked to it. I'm looking to do a chrome delete. Thanks

I recommend grills from either Autotecknic or IND. Personally, I went with the latter.

I'm unsure about window trim. You may want to consider a wrap.

I bought grills off of Ebay. Fast shipping from Taiwan. No issues with quality and no regrets. Esp happy with money saved.

I also bought some gloss black grills from Taiwan (optimal_motorparts... not necessarily the same eBay seller as FWDavid). Shipped quick, quality and fit were on-point.

Was it easy to install?

You have to be little brave, then it's quite easy. Search the forum for more info, there are a few threads about installation Youtube videos too.

This is the You Tube video that helped a lot. It is a bit harder to get off than he shows.

That was another question, do you guys think it is easier to install the grill in the summer or really doesn't matter?
It's usually 45 degrees here where I'm at currently. So don't know if the cold will make it harder to remove the grills.

The warmer it is, the better you can bend down the clips to release the old grill.

Just do it in your garage. And don't go OEM for these grilles. WAY too expensive. Check the ebay links as others have posted. Great quality and significantly less expensive

You can also wrap them or use plasti-dip. I did the latter, not the best job ever, but as a first time use I'm ok with it. Obviously you can see the difference when looking close enough.

I paid 125,- for the BMW OEM grill (at a BMW dealer). Why pay 90,- for a chinese copy on ebay?

Well, $125US is unheard of - here, they're $150US EACH

If the OP can get them at the same price you paid, you should provide the OP with the link.

Otherwise, the eBay versions are just as good frankly - and still $35 US cheaper than OEM...maybe the OP is on a budget

EDIT: OP, I found this US site - $100 and, surprisingly they're OEM grilles

Ok, no worries. My mistake, clearly I didn't read the site correctly.

So OP het the eBay ones likeoat do - I did on my previous X3. They look great and while they might be knock offs, I couldn't tell.

Anyone know why the black grilles have the 'filled-in' sides, while my original cerium-grey ones don't?
The black ones in the photo are obviously non-genuine, but from what I've seen even the genuine black ones have the solid sides... Is there a reason?
