Just ordered weathertech mats for X3MC - they don’t have that model as an option, but m40i should be the same and they do ask whether you have the spare or not. Will update once received and installed as to fitment.

Got them last night and the fitment is good. The cargo mat takes a bit of work to get all the way in initially because the tray lip needs to be bent back to match the angle of the seat backs, but where it flares out for the storage areas almost act like tabs to keep it in place.

Sorry for the picture orientation but vbulletin seems to hate iPhone camera data to orient them properly no matter how you orient the phone to take them.

My driveway is slightly pitched and I’m forever having stuff roll out the back when I open the tailgate. Do these hold things in place at all?

Don’t know - I have a fairly angled driveway but haven’t tried parking and unloading with these in. It’s a harder surface so will probably depend on what material. I’ve had things slide out the back in our Pilot on plain carpet (think smooth cardboard boxed items), so will have to park outside after a costco run to see if the textured squares helps with grip.

I'm sooo glad my x4mc has a decent lip and not a flat floor for this exact reason.

That's the one thing I miss about my X5. The clamshell design of the rear hatch.

My dealer threw in a set of standard X3 all weather mats which was nice. I'd ask your dealer and see if they would do the same.

3D Spyder Mats

I went with the 3D Spyder mats. Fit is great and I think they go well with the black interior. They are light weight but do not seem to move about. The lightness of the trunk mat makes it easy to lift. Remains to be seen how well they wear. I did make one modification.

Regular X3 mats & cargo liner fit perfectly. I picked them up with my car. Got a 10% discount on the purchase , but that's all. I like them fine, but the rear cargo liner slides around a bit more than I'd like it to. They've got a spiffy X3 logo on them....

Looks good thanks for the pictures I have always had good luck with weather tech and I do not have a very steep driveway or garage… You have the spare tire correct?

Yep, spare tire so have the raised floor. I’ve had good results with these in my F80 - tray design has kept liquids from running off the sides to the carpet underneath and fitment is always good.

Same here, thanks Herb Chambers Boston. My carpeted mats are still wrapped in their original packaging, waiting for spring/summer.
