They look at it after pulling you over . They also use your license info as back up because too many people were using crazy configurations to try and get out of a ticket .

No, my point of the plate is for speed cameras or for jokers trying to get your plate. Can't check VIN.

Pretty sure speed cameras have automation to decipher every allowed character on a plate, your 0O0O isn’t going to fool it.

Also, cops take your drivers license and it’s that information that gets you ticketed, regardless of whether he mis-writes the plate.

Cameras don't take your license. Plus the O0 variation wasn't mine.

The Texas Toll Authority is though. My wife's plate has an O at the end and they keep randomly sending toll bills even though she has a toll account auto billed. She's spent countless hours on the phone with them and every time their response is "our system can't distinguish Os from 0s.

Finally got my plate! Almost 9 months wait in CA lol. I wanted something subtle/stealthy that only enthusiasts would get, while most public would probably assume it’s just a sequential plate.

Love it! I tried getting F97X3MC but evidently someone in CA already has that one. Then I figured having X3M on the plate is kinda redundant unless you de-badge I guess. I’m happy I went more subtle with F97S58C. Will be interesting to see if I ever get a comment from someone who knows the code so to speak lol.

I went with M3TRUK. Mainly to annoy those who actually have trucks. They seem to get butt hurt by the fact that it's an SUV (SAV) yet I'm sitting there calling it a truck. Then I make the argument that Lambo fanatics love referring to the URUS as a Lambo truck and they quickly get quiet. I don't make the rules!! If we had more characters to play with I would have possibly gone with something different but six is all we get up here in Alaska.
