Modding, especially at that level, is not easy... been there done that on my E70.
Sometimes it's just buy and try to see if it works since there is no "here's how to do it or what to buy" guide.

Thanks for leading the charge on the brake upgrades for us!

Thank you for the kind words & kudos on this man. Really appreciate the recognition here. And you're very right, to push the envelope on new stuff for the X3 M, it occasionally requires some failure to find this new information out.

The good news is that the 6-piston Brembos from the X5 M have a pad size that's double what the factory gave us. So this 11 second 4,500 lb AWD drive beast now stops like it accelerates!

have you tested/measured the performance increase i.e. drive like a, well, BMW driver then slam on em?

When I'm doing some late nigh driving on the highway & pushing the S58 hard. Like foot deep into the floorboard for a few long gears, of course I have. The brakes from the M5 / M8, X5 M, M3/M4 & M2 perform tremendously well. It's a shame BMW didn't spend a touch extra coin & equip the F97 this way to begin with. But then again I don't think many drivers push their cars as hard as I do the street (only in Mexico of course though)...

I’ve had them on all the bmws I’ve owned. Never an issue. But no one is stopping you from spending 600+ on a rotor from the dealership 🤣

I mean its just steel with holes in them. The holes look to be done with good machines. Unless the rotors are warped, I think it'll be ok.

You can buy the shm aftermarket ones that a forum seller here has for under 300 each, shipped. so there are options.

Then post of photo or two of them instead of a screenshot. So I can actually see what they look like!

To echo Kevin's post, I'd love to see these rotors on your rig.

Thank you for posting this photo for us. I use to have those same OWM 20" winter wheels on one of my X3 M's too. Looks like a rear rotor photo, which we appreciate. Would you mind taking one more photo of the front rotors for us as well... ?

Even compared to the much lighter C6Z, the F97 is no where even remotely considered slow. But that was a good one man!
