CarPlay X3 2019 VS IDRIVE
Dear all,
First off I am new to the forum, if I am posting on the wrong place apologies. My story is I have my new BMW X3 2019 (3 weeks old ) and got the aportinity to test CarPlay for €1 for 30 days. I managed to get it installed however I have two issues, apple CarPlay is not full screen and when I start the navigation using CarPlay ( google map / apple map / Waze ) i do not get the instruction in my head up display. Can someone please advise either what I want is even possible ? Thank you |

Wrong sub forum but that's fine.
CarPlay will not go full screen on iDrive. Navigation insurrections on CarPlay navigation apps do not integrate to the Heads Up Display, only the iDrive native navigation will do that. So no you aren't doing anything wrong and there is nothing you can do.

Thank you so much for your answer, i'll stay using IDrive which i think is much better than the Carplay, unfortunately i cannot figure out how to add the speed Cams to the BMW iDrive so i am using . 3rd party iphone software |

I had a chance to use CarPlay in a loaner vehicle on several occasions. It felt partially baked for the lack of a better description. |
