Smaller spare wheel?
Hello guys, I own 2014 X4, 2.0d. As the car arrived with run-flat tires, there is no space for the spare wheel
Since I have bought new tires and didn't want run-flat, now I need to buy a space saver spare wheel. The problem is that I can't find to buy 135/80R18 wheel anywhere (which is optionally delivered with this car), but instead only 135/90R17. Is it a good idea to buy a smaller wheel than recommended? Will it damage something for a few miles in case of need? My summer wheels are 19" and winter 17" |

TPMS sensor most likely would be damaged if any type of glue is used (I had a bad experience with my previous car, so I wouldn't use it ever again)...
That's why I would like to have spare, but can't find 18" |

I've read a few posts over on pistonheads of the M owners going to non runflat tyres and not having an issue with holts tyreweld. They can't use a spare due to caliper clearance.

Thanks for the reply, but I'll stick to finding the reply to my original question- can I use smaller wheel
P.S. This Holts tyreweld can't be bought in my country, so it is definitely written off |
