Things I'm seeing

M-Sport steering wheel
Piano Black Trim
Full Digital Display

All 3 which are currently unavailable to USA. I dont want to get my hopes up though but if this is really a thing for US there's a good chance I'll place the order.

Sorry to clarify this is not the configurator for US. Just to show the live dash.

My car is a May 2019 build so it's a shame to have missed this by just 2-3 months.

However I am not grieved as there is little difference between idrive 6 and idrive 7 in terms of features. There is still no:

Satellite view
Full navigation with street names in the instrument cluster
Android Auto or Carplay as standard
Augmented reality

However I am happy that future buyers don't have to wait for LCI to get the new infotainment.

There is Satellite view in idrive 7 - at least in the X5's, but the systems are rather identical.

Also, metallic effect finishes on the start button, glove box pull, and window switchgear.

But, since this isn't US spec anyway..my observations and my post are useless

I've just been looking at the BMW UK configurator and something is definitely being updated.

I can't see anyway to build a M40i at the moment and the M40d is showing "BMW Live Cockpit Professional" as being an inclusive option.

Screenshot attached.

Will be giving my dealer a call to see if he knows what is happening....

Damn, my X3 M40d is built and is awaiting shipment as we speak, due to be delivered this August. I’m now wondering whether to re-order the car to get the updated changes.

Just spoken to a salesman at the dealership I use and he indicated that the Live Cockpit will be in cars built from Wk 36 onwards...

Not sure about the other changes - he's "gone to check"

Verified. Attached photo from UK configurator is best evidence I've seen so far. Nice find @iaincb. US Configurator not showing this yet.

Live Cockpit appears to be standard in the UK regardless of trim e.g. SE, xLine or M-Sport.

The 6.5 inch centre console display is no more.

OP was right! Looks like the M40i is getting a HP boost. But the M40d has stayed at same power output.

My car was built at the beginning of this month and was surprised to receive a call from the dealer that it is in the UK already and collection should be next week - it was originally due at the end of the next month / beginning July! You may gets yours sooner than you think! Having looked at a few cars with the new style dash while I like the idea of Live Cockpit I prefer the look and relative simplicity / clarity of the digital cockpit as is.

I'm waiting on a callback from my dealer - my car was scheduled to be with them for Wk 31 but I've asked if I can push the build back on my deal to wk 36 to get the live cockpit included.

Having said that - if it can't be and I end up with an M40i in August with the existing digital cockpit then I'm sure I'll be over it in about 2 secs.

It's not like it rocking up with a sundial and a cuckoo clock (and at least the rev counter will go in the right direction!)

I'm fairly certain bucket seats not available in uk as configurator doesn't have them - however M40i has disappeared so can't see about power increase
