no more flashlight or slot for it in glove box

My E91 came with a BMW flashlight in a slot in the glove box door. The F25 came with the slot, but no flashlight - fortunately the thread below was active the week I took delivery of my F25 and it served a reminder to keep the flashlight from the E91 and put it in the empty slot in the F25 glovebox. The G01 doesn't even have the slot. so I guess the flashlight gets to rattle around the center console I have to keep it, its part of the legacy of my first BMW.

when I bought the E91, I seriously compared it to E83 first gen X3. The X3 has evolved so much that switching when the F25 came out was easy to do. My one regret now, had I gone with the E83 i would now be someone who has been owned all 3 generations, oh well, can't change 10 years ago.

We skipped from a 2008 3.0si X3 to an M40i. Miss the nice thick M-Sport steering wheel and the large-opening sunroof with that trick vent feature but everything else is pretty great. Amazing what an extra 100 hp can do.

I had the flashlight in my E30, E36, E39 and E91. By the time I got my E92 M3 there was no connector for the flashlight. My E70 came with an LED flashlight but no place to put it. The F34 was the same.

The flashlight from the E30 was great, reminded me of the one from my dad's Karmann Ghia.

I picked up a small flash light in a corder case. No bigger than a fountain pen and very powerful. Snap-On have them. I got mine at Cabelas.

I'm just glad that thread on the F25 board from 2011 timely told me to retain the E91 flashlight before I traded it in, not after

glad to see another former E91 driver who ended up here. The 3 series touring wagon is so underappreciated here in the US. My dealer has an F31 new on the lot, its still a pretty ride.

I agree with you. If they had an M line B58 version I would probably have gone with that. But the M40i has so much more punch than the 2 litre engines we get here.

Nowadays, many people don't use flash light any more, they just use their phone.....
