Display Key?

Hmm, I'm finding out all sorts of new things from these reviews - and a few things interesting from the Motor Trend review... The M40i comes with the Display Key??????

What is the point of that? It is HUGE. Takes up his entire palm. It will be fine for my wife in her handbag, but it is going to suck for me to have it in my pocket.

That makes sense since nothing else is available either..........Individual leather, Individual paint, ///M Steering Wheel, etc.

Add the silver colored ventilation and audio controls also...saw them on various European configurators but not on ours.

Looks like all of motortrend's pictures are just BMW press pics.

I ordered mine with the display key. Pretty sure it's just going to be an "extra item" that I will use 2 or 3 times, but it was too tempting to order it!

Imagine the look of the people when you get it out of the pocket...

Yeah, this alone would make me not want it. I have to concur with the comments above - that thing looked huge and looking at some of the YT videos of the key, the screen doesn't seem that responsive. That would just drive me nuts. Also, I don't know about leaving that key for valet parking, unless you can pull something apart from it.

Will the X3 have the remote parking feature like in the 5 and 7 series? I think one of the video reviews mentioned it would not.

I am told that it will not have remote parking. So effectively, it seems to have what I have in the BMW Remote app on my phone. Since it comes as part of the Ultimate Package, I will be getting it.
