Coding sofware

Hi Shawn!

Could you send me a link to download a coding software?
I don't know my current I-step yet but I am sure it was unchanged since December 2014.
I have just installed top-view hardware in my f25 with a new TRSVC module and need to flash it. After it I can add 3AH to my FA.
Can you advice me a ECU names need to be coded?

Also I have installed new climate module from CLI and have an error in IHKA. It can be coded and fixed?

PM sent.

For TRSVC, you should just need to encode PDC, CIC/NBT, and TRSVC.

I recently got the OEM trailer hitch installed at the dealership, and they also updated the software to accommodate for the hitch. I'm now having trouble coding the car, I can't read some of the coding data. I get error messages such as "File for "cafd_000007c8-007_001_022" not found! [C012]".
I noticed the car's I-Step changed from "F025-15-11-503" to "F025-16-07-501". I'm using PSdZData v.58.3. Do I need a new version?
Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks for your help,
Paul

Not possible. The Speedlock FDL bitmask has been shortened to where Hex FF (Binary 1111 1111) is not a possible Value.

So Going from 6NH to 6NS worked flawlessly. I am now starting to Code FDL to change a few things . I understand the concept, but I am still missing a few things. I tried to read as much as I could, but I am still confused on a few things;

Once you change a value, say "Nicht Aktiv" to "Aktiv", do you need to save and then click "Back Arrow" , click "Code FDL" or can you also change the Werte value (same item) at the same time and then "Save" Click "Back Arrow" and Click "Code FDL" for both?

Once you have coded a given ECU, and done the saving and "Code FDL", can you then just go to another ECU and change values or do I need to cycle the key, disconnect from the car or??? I found some info, but nothing definitive.

Thanks in advance and thanks to all the guys who have made me the coding machine I now am...

Understand there are two kinds of FDL Code changes. 98% of the time you change only the drop-down box value from one predefined value to another. When doing this, ignore the Werte Value altogether. It will change to whatever it needs to be based on the drop-down box selection you make, and it may not be the same as what someone has written or what a cheat sheet may show for the Werte value, but it is not important. As I said, change the drop-down selection only and ignore the Werte value. The other FDL Code change involves a custom FDL, in which case the opposite is done. In this case you ignore the drop-down box and directly edit the Werte Value to something custom like FF in the case of DVD-In-Motion. Under no scenario will you ever change both the drop-down selection and the Werte Value directly. It is one or the other, but never both. The vast majority of the time, you will just change the value using the predefined drop-down box, and leave the Werte Value alone. The only time the Werte Value is to be directly changed is when the predefined drop down box does not have the desired value.

Well it all works... I coded the mirror/Windows/Sunroof to close with CA and Fob, same for the tailgate. Changed the logo in the Display, and changed 6NH to 6NS. I tried to do Blinkers in HUD, but I cannot find the folders mentioned on the cheat sheet I had. I will look into this further.
Again thanks to all the guys on this Forum who helped me along.

I recently had my X3 in for service, and despite me specifically asking the dealer to not reprogram the ECU, they did anyway (grrr). Now I've lost all my coding and the I-Step has been updated to F025-16-07-501, similar to Paul J below (more grrrr).

I have patched/PIN'd copy of ESys (3.23?) that I've had for a while; I also obtained a later copy psdzdata (59.2?) that I think should be compatible with the new I-Step. However, it does not appear that I am currently able to use VO coding for some reason (unable to activate FA), but even if I could, it seems my options for coding are incredibly limited (even more grrrr).

I see Shawn Sheridan appears to be the man with the plan here; curious if I could trouble him for some advice on what options I have at this point TIA.

You need to update to 59.2 PSdZData, which necessitates also updating to E-Sys 3.27.1, and of course latest E-Sys Launcher. PM sent.

My car (X3 2014) was recently updated to newest I-Step as well. Tried to code but experienced the same that other users described above. I guess I need new E-Sys and rest. Can I get those please?

Thanks a lot.
