2020 X3M $67K (paid 70k in 09/20) 11,946 miles. Yes BMW cut production again..very low inventory. Anecdotally, Was looking at the XB7 ‘s 2 sold on the same day.

I was curious and requested quotes from Vroom and Carvana for my 20 with 32k miles. Vroom came back at 56,5k while my payoff is 58k.

Was slim pickings on new inventory they sold their current inventory of XB7’s on Saturday and current selection of X7M50’s not to our liking. We’ll wait. Might have bit/jumped for the right vehicle.

While at the dealership. A husband and wife traded in a late model Ranger Rover HSE and a Panamera Turbo SE - Hybrid and left with the XB7 I was going to look at and a fully loaded M8 Competition GranCoupe. Helluva of delivery day for that couple

I should add we love our X3M - no complaints. Looking to possibly upsize due to space needs

What options are on yours?

I was offered 63 by BMW dealer, 61 by Lexus dealer, 65 by local corporate dealer and 66 by Autonation for my Competition, nearly full loaded with under 12k miles.

2021 X3MC, traded on Cadiilac CT-4V Blackwing. $68,300 MSRP for the new one, $69K for the X3MC. Thought that was pretty fair.

I think I'm finally going to part ways with the '21 X4M C.

Going to test the market a bit to see what we can get. Got about 12,000 miles on it, pretty much fully loaded.

What are numbers lookin' like for you all now?

Sounds like a roughly 3% discount off MSRP for NJ. A little better than par for the course right now.

One we got was fully loaded as well. I was at roughly $3,000 drive off, but they got me at $901/month 36 month, 10k.

This was back in December, certainly a different market than it is now.

BMW doesn't allow 3rd party companies to buy leases out anymore. This came down a few weeks ago

That is beautiful. But hard to tell if it's black or gray. What color did you get... ?

Yep, can confirm the same thing. Saw this in the payoff doc yesterday and was like ahh damn. Essentially with the shortage, they want to keep all the BMWs at BMW dealerships, understandably so.

With that said, you could always private-sell it and just do the payoff in the new person's name, no?

There's a section on the payoff docs that states "I would like my paper title or lien release released to a different address, as listed below" where you can put new name, address etc...

The three options are clear in the payoff contract:

Buy it yourself
Return it
Trade it in

Not sure if there is a way around it, but your method would trigger taxes that are not triggered when a dealership sells… I think 🤔

During the negotiations for my LCI X3MC a month ago,I shopped my leased '20 M550 around to several local non-BMW dealerships who all offered me more than the lease pay-off.
A large Honda dealership offered me significantly more than what my local BMW dealer was offering. When I stopped by the BMW dealer to sign some paperwork for the X3MC I mentioned I was selling the M550 to Honda..BMW dealer immediately upped their offer and surpassed what Honda offered as they didn't wanna let it go to a Honda used-car lot. Win-win for me.
