I must admit, I've never used sport mode only sport+. It's either off or on for me! |

For #2, they will not do anything but you can easily do it yourself on a 2020 by pulling fuse 218 in the trunk or coding out with Bimmercode. Not sure what changed with iDrive 7 so check the forum to see what those with the 2021s are doing. |

Just checked on the X3 forums, the "imprint" search is the way to do it. Just make sure you've redownloaded the manual or use the app instead.
So this shows that I am on the "03/21" ISTEP. |

Really appreciate OP on this sharing because it's a big time improvement for the suspension and great enhancement on the Lan departure as well. Now I really don't have the complaint for my X3MC....

Software Update
Just got my car back from the dealer and they did the update. Drives 100 times better when on the stiffest suspension setting no more chop, shifting not so jerky feels more refined. I am glad they did it for me and highly advise getting it done. Not sure about any other changes but if anyone can tell me what to look for I will report back. Thx

Got mine done this week as well. I am shocked at how big an improvement this is for the vehicle. It feels so much more composed and refined as opposed to a "beta version"
Reporting similar findings to what others are saying: - Comfort suspension mode is actually an accurate description of the mode - Steering is lighter in comfort and sport. Might be a con for some but it is much easier to drive day to day. - Transmission is less herky jerky and improved shift points - Throttle is more linear - Less ping ponging in the lane in the self driving edit: I also want to add I am on the conti's and the update makes them more tolerable Last edited by tm811; 04-14-2021 at 06:13 PM.. |

Has anyone checked to see if the delay we had when you floor it from a stop (with no brake boost or launch control) is gone? I haven't gotten the opportunity to try it on mine post update.
