Yes cut it where the dimples are. At first glance it looks like you need to cut it more, but once you attach the front midpipe section to the downpipes, you’ll see that the spacing is perfect.
Excellent quality as always from Active Autowerke, Congrats

Thank you for confirming - I installed mine yesterday and the fit is absolutely spot on!

A couple tips for everyone:

If using a sawzall, get a 6” blade that has a TPI of 6-8 and has carbide tips. The ones made for just metal won’t work.

To get the top nuts off of the flange connecting to the downpipes, you’ll need a ratchet extension.

Finally, I did this on rhinoramps in my garage and it was a tight fit! Maybe I’m just getting older, but anyone quoting 1.5-2 hours must have done this on a lift.

Anyway, maybe this was all common knowledge, but it wasn’t to me, and I’ve read through what feels like most posts about midpipes. I am beyond happy with this midpipe though… the sound is incredible! Transforms the way the car sounds throughout the rev range, screams when you floor it, and burbles so much more than before. I was surprised by the burbles actually, and will definitely dial these back when I do the tune.

Again, thanks to everyone for making this happen… everyone who ordered is going to be very happy!!

Having worked under a lift, and on the ground, can confidently say most things are 90% easier on a lift LOL. A lot less swear words as well

For cutting I was planning to use one of these: (took note of this from Brock's post when he installed his AA Single)

I used a lift and it literally took me 25 minutes.

Stock exhaust sounds pretty good so far. I’m satisfied with it.

These tailpipe cutters don't work on stainless, I bought something similar to this and tried for two hours and barely bit into the OEM metal. (The bullet point for that item and all similar items actually say "not for use on stainless steel" -- I didn't believe it but I FAFO'd nonetheless.) Sawzall makes quick work of this.

That is exactly what I used on mine and it was the cleanest cut ever. Worked just fine.

Used these for my Axle back Acra install (using quick jacks in my garage) and they were very easy to use, made a perfect clean cut, and just worked...
I did buy 2 because they were trashed after one pipe, as advised on this forum
So they are a one and done option, but they do work very well.

If you are a DIY'er and doing this without a lift, they make it very easy.

Mine arrived today!

Can't install for a week because my ride is in the shop waiting for a sensor, so I wait a while longer.

People say it sounds like a 350Z. But I don't know of any 350Z that can run a mid 11 second quarter mile out of the box & bone stock fresh off the showroom floor. I think it sounds pretty refined & button up.

Anyone have a single AA midpipe and get an equal length one installed? Mike said the single sounds a bit cleaner and more refined, whereas the equal length sounds more aggressive. Think I'd be happy with either, but would be interested to hear from someone who's had both.
