Yikes. I'll keep my pre lci. A taillight retrofit could be nice though.

Says whom that these design languages are influenced by the preference of Asian markets? By BMW ? So why's everyone keep saying that?
BMW have the long history of rolling out controversial and oftentimes hideous designs c'mon.

I seriously hope that the front bumper of the white LCI X3 shown here is only for x30i. I think they can do better than that for the M40i.

Much more aggressive than the current model.
Can't be appreciated by the actual owners, who would like to replace the taillights though...
No different comments when the G30/31 LCI was released 😁

So "subjective" a subject....the bottom line is no matter what they design customers will buy it. There are always new customers to replace those former customers that won't buy it. (example: the (IMHO) fugly Lexus "fish mouth" grill....I hate it, BUT plenty still buy it)

It looks terrible. Front facia looks like the car has no lower jaw, and those corner vents look like they are stuck onto the bumper with double sided tape. The joined kidney grill looks like a knock off of what we have now. That ass is so ugly I don't even know where to start. More fake vents more hard angles. Those taillights look straight off a cheap Asian import SMH

BMW design team needs to do some soul searching.

I think at the front BMW are trying for that EV edgy look but without the blue flashes. Usually, with changes I feel most of us with get used to them and see them as more modern over time. The front just has no class...it's discordant in a visual way.

They really went with those taillights. I feared this with those spy shots, and sure enough - it's that design they had on I think the 3 series. I really don't like it because BMW tail lights to me are all about straight lines - not looping outlines like an outline of a fist. That doesn't make it look more aggressive to me at all. I actually don't think this looks "far more aggressive" as one website I read put it. I will say the connected kidney grills when they are black grills look better than I thought it would, though. Not entirely sure if I like the rest of the front.. but maybe I just need to get used to it.

But I don't think I will ever fall in love with those taillights over the current design. Maybe I need to see them in action.

Where are these iDrive 8 comments coming from? Wasn't it already stated that the i4 would be the first model to be released with iDrive 8? There is no way the X3 LCI, where production begins in August, will get iDrive 8.

The front looks horrendous. They totally f___ed up the side intakes and nothing matches. The front design of the current generation X3M is perfect, I'm sure they are going to ruin that too.

The rear would be OK (the rear reflectors moved down to the bumper looks cleaner and the smoked out taillights are nice), but the fake vents are just stupid and completely unacceptable. I'm so glad I got a 2021.

Front end is yikes, especially how more inset the front grills look, PITA to keep clean and the odd grill cut out for camera in cerium grill.

Don't get me started on the front bumper

The back is nicely different but the current is just as fine too LOL.

What is the fascination of using the DRLs to double as the turn signals? I've seen them on other makes now and to me it looks just broken. Is this the direction everyone is going to go? Sounds like more of a cost savings measure across the industry to avoid a separate light. Of course, if it breaks, though - now you have two things that don't function.
