It wasn't 82 degree weather, something else is up. Plugs, fuel mix, etc. 11.4ish is not far from stock times. There is no way a piggyback only beats a ECU flash, regardless of platform. BM3, MHD, ECUTEK, etc

You were running E55-E60 on the BM3 OTS E30 file? That's the problem right there. That E content is way too high for that file. You should be at E30

Each file targets a specific AFR for the given fuel that it's meant to be ran with. 93 files will have a different AFR than E30, E30 will be different than E50 and so on. You were likely making out your short term fuel trims with that much ethanol because the tune isn't designed for that much. The LPFP likely wasn't supplying enough fuel either given the pump requires more pressure to run E50 than it does E30.

Plugs or a plug can certainly go bad in 6K miles. May be bad enough to where it's not throwing a misfire CEL, but enough that it's commanding the DME to adjust. No way to tell for sure, unless you are data logging these runs. I can certainly understand the disappointment too, especially after spending a lot to get a '22 dme unlocked. |

When i bought the car it had 6800 miles on it. It was kind of hesitating on idle - I have a post about this as well. I changed the spark plugs and it was smooth after that. So ya, it looks like this car eats Spark plugs quickly. |

I was thinking of doing a dyno test on BM3 stage 2 93 and then plugging in the Racechip in map 7 to compare or maybe I'll just rerun it at the same track that I tested out my Racechip on cooler weather. I'm just tired on throwing away money. I feel like I just wasted $2k just to be able to delete my CEL.

So Paul said the tune is dialed in for 93 octane. I emailed the shop with the Dyno for an appointment.
Should have some numbers next week or the week after, depending when they can get me in. I've also asked Paul to start up an e60 tune for me that I can use on the track and for Mpact. The Dyno run though, will only be for the 93 octane tune. Last edited by Dawgz; 09-24-2022 at 11:51 AM.. |

well, i had hoped to do some runs with Draggy this weekend but it looks like we're all rained out.
Will be heading to the track next Saturday with this new revision which feels 2x stronger than anything Paul has given me so far. Keeps pulling all the way to 7k. I have not yet heard back from the Dyno shop for an appointment, may need to find a different dyno to run it on. |

So I was watching an RKtunes video on YouTube and he did comparisons with the BM3 stage 1 93 octane OTS and a stage 1 93 octane custom, stage 2 93 octane custom and stage 2 e40 custom tune.
Although not from Paul, it does give a good idea of custom tune vs OTS and power levels of 93 octane on this platform. BM3 stage 1 OTS 93 octane: 550whp Stage 1 custom 93 octane: 560whp Stage 2 custom 93 octane: 590whp Stage 2 e40 custom: 630whp |

Alright guys, finally got it on the Dyno!
640whp! The torque curve, is insanely flat thru out most of the range. Crazy. The shop owner told me he had a x3m with a ots 93 stage 1 on the Dyno and it made 550whp. So that's a good comparison of how this Dyno reads. |

Ridiculous power. Definitely beats the OTS E30 and no need for fuel mixing and crappy gas mileage.
I had jumped the gun last week and had started getting my custom 93 with Paul as well

Awesome! Well, I will be going e60 in the spring for my track and mpact days. But will use this 93 tune for daily driving. |
