Grrrrr:speedlock
Attempting to enable VIM and getting hung up on disable of speedlock (2nd step). I have tried every trick posted in this thread including starting/stopping the car during programming, trying to code in diagnostic mode, etc..
I can get to the Idrive screen to make the selection to disable speedlock, but nada after that. I get the same repeating error in bimmercode stating that speedlock is enabled, try again, etc.. I'm open to any ideas from the brain trust. Thanks in advance, |

If you didn't remove USB then I do not know why it's not letting you go to the next step. |

I coded the 4th keyfob button to act as a panic alarm.
In Body Domain Controller in advance mode just search on "panic" and code all the results to active. Do the same in Roof Function Center. Second, search for 'button' and select "RC default idg 4th button long' and code this to werte 03. Thats it. This way you keep the follow me home light button and also get the panic alarm. |

Bimmercoders....I need some troubleshooting help on getting connected to iOS with OBDLink MX+. Tried my I-phone and then my I-pad
I can start a new thread if this would be a hijack. Finally got the adapter and paid for the app. Followed instructions but maybe did something wrong? Please see my comments next to each step in case it's operator error... Connecting with a Bluetooth adapter (iOS) 1. Disable CarPlay in the iOS settings if active. -> Never used CarPlay so don't think it's active? Tried on both Iphone and Ipad 2. Disconnect the Bluetooth connection to the iDrive systen and any additional Bluetooth connections. -> Told Iphone to forget BT of car. Ipad never hooked to car. No BT connections when tried using either device 3. Turn on the ignition in the car or start diagnostic mode in G Series cars (press the start button in the car three times in quick succession without pushing the brake or clutch pedal). -> This step worked perfectly. Said it was in Diagnostic Mode 4. Plug in the adapter into the OBD port in the footwell on the driver side. -> Plugged in and green power light came on, blue BT light blinking 5. Enable the Airplane mode on the iOS device. -> Check 6. Turn on Bluetooth on the iOS device. -> Check 7. Open the BimmerCode app and check if the correct adapter type is selected in the settings. -> Check 8. Tap on “Connect” in the start screen. Gives Cannot Connect error Selected X3 G01. Any ideas? Do I have a defective adapter or did something incorrect? Thanks for any suggestions! |
