Initiated this today and so far just made FA and CAFD backup of original configuration files as per April1's tutorial. However, when reading CAFD files, after "read coding data" in "coding" box, the error report reports 7 errors - please see attached report. Is this a problem? Tried 3 or 4 times with same result. Before continuing the process, 2 questions: - did I do correctly disconnecting E-Sys after reading coding data? Should have done anything else before disconnect? Or is it safe to disconnect anytime anywhere? - during the process I'm always afraid the car goes off, because I noticed already that after a while it goes off when listening to the radio. If it happens during E-Sys connection, independently of what I could be doing, can it damage or brick something? Being too cautious because don't want to brick anything. Tks in advance for your continued support. Last edited by RolaNoCalhau; 03-19-2015 at 09:31 AM.. |

You should not be worrying about the car going off as the motor should be running during coding. What PSdZData version are you using?

What is the Connection Target Name? It contains the I-Step (PSdZData) version.

Well, I have made some progress however. In spite having the software version F010-15-03-501 = ISTA/P 2.55.0., it seems I was able find the FDL codes after all. Hope this be good news. I was able to code already button on key fob to close trunk, and tried few others with no success. But I could find them. Tried to remove the seatbelt warning but didn't find the 3001 section in ACSM module... how is it possible? Another one I could use your help is to disable DVD speedlock. Please take a look at the attached print screen: as you can see I have no option to put value = FF as stated in the cheat chart. Can you help on this one? Tried also the digital speed in BC (don't know what this means) and when finished coding an analogue speedometer showed up in the display below speed instrument but after 50 or 60 seconds disappeared. It reset the clock and nothing else. Do you have any suggestion? Last edited by RolaNoCalhau; 03-18-2015 at 12:26 PM.. |

FF is not available from the Dropdown list of predefined settings. You need to change the Werte Value directly: E-Sys - How to Change Werte Values.pdf: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...3&d=1338274757 Digital speed appears in the BC Cluster, and you must cycle through the settings with the BC Stalk to display it.

All the few coding I did was with the engine not running. Is it mandatory?

No, not mandatory, but when the voltage drops too low, and you corrupt ECU CAFD file, you will just wish then you ran the motor per the instructions.

Do not restrict your search to just a section like 3001. These vary by CAFD version. Use the search bar at the top, and search for FDL Codes by name. Understand though that the search bar searches only from the Top => Down, so make sure you start at the top of the CAFD, and do not have any leading or trailing spaces in your search term.

However, still don't know which option to choose under Ausgelesen (1st parameter), because it only has "nicht_aktiv", "8_kmh" and "3_kmh" whereas the cheat chart only refers "value = FF" in the "new value" column. |

However I found strange that inside the ACSM module there are 3 CFD files with green check marks. But when I "read coding data" only one file turns into a folder, the other 2 have errors. Report: ACSM [1] [DY00991] readCPS o.k. CAFD_00000909_004_003_007 Fehler: File for "cafd_00000909-004_003_007" not found! [C012] ACSM [1] [DY00991] readCPS o.k. CAFD_0000090A_004_003_049 Fehler: File for "cafd_0000090a-004_003_049" not found! [C012] ACSM [1] [DY00991] readCPS o.k. CAFD_0000090B_004_004_012.ncd generated Is it possible that the wanted function (remove the seatbelt warning) could be inside of either one of those 2? Download and copy to your CAFD library folder (C:\Data\psdzdata\swe\cafd): cafd_00000909.caf.004_003_007: https://mega.co.nz/#!A5pwURyZ!K65IVQ...wEOx1z4xPot_j0 Yes. You can read ECU, disconnect from car, make changes offline, connect back to car, and write changes to car via Code FDL. You will need to Activate FA and read SVT again.

Another question: so that file I just downloaded was missing from psdzdata archive. Since I have 6 other CFD files with green check marks that don't turn into a folder, I might be missing those as well. Can you check error report attached and if so send those files? For example the CAS module has 1 with green check mark and it won't generate .ncd as well. Tks |
