My Drive 30i went production begins for about a week and then nothin and jumped to "waiting for transport " and then dealer called saying it had arrived a day later. Website not accurate. I'm in FL. Loving it!

Agreed that is frustrating! Thanks for the compliment, I'm very excited though now I need to figure out what to do with the M3...
So I got an update, car will be finished week 37 (early September) and delivered to my dealer in Germany week 43 (mid October). I thought I wouldn't see it until early December so this news just made my weekend!

I talked to my sales rep and he doesn't think the article was right about the acoustic glass since it was removed from both the pricing and ordering guides. He said it is possible an update to the guides may come out but he hasn't seen one yet. Also, if you read through the list there are other errors as well.

I guess it's a possible typo. When you think about it, the acoustic glass was already an option so why would they say acoustic glass being added if it was already there in 2020? They probably meant for it to say "acoustic glass being deleted"

Pretty bad for BMW to have typos released on an official news page.

I agree, it was a lot of data though so I guess we can cut them a little slack

Is it too early to inquire about September incentives & rebates for the X3 M40i?

Have prospective allocation order deal that discounted price has notation about USAA $750 cash incentive if it extends to September?

I received a quote for a 2021 X3 M40i in production:

21XE X3 M40i
Alpine White/Cognac Vernasca
Front & rear heated seats
Executive pkg
Trailer Hitch
HK surround
Wireless charging

MSRP $63,470
Discount $4,000

Total = $59,769

Not sure why no additional rebates, incentives, or financing rebates with BMWFS not quoted or available? Only about 5.5% below MSRP?

Probably shouldn't post this but here is what one dealer trying to get my business sent me. He offered the same as you got plus the $750 financing loyalty cash back. You can see it on the screen so the dealer is pocketing that if you are financing...

If you want 10% off a build just check out the Leasehackr forums. Several brokers are offering that discount, and that's probably as good as you're gonna get right now on a build thanks to COVID.

Of course you have to factor in the broker fee + shipping (you can do PCD too), but it's way less hassle all around. I tried with some dealerships in my area and the best I got was just shy of 5% off a build.

It depends on location. Some members here have reported 9 and 10 percent in California for custom orders. 7% in another state. If you want to stick to your location, you might be stuck with a lower discount. The broker idea above is a good one and I would have done it if my dealer was not playing ball. But it likely means going out of state which involves some extra paperwork in registration (depends on your state).
In terms of rebates: There is a $750 loyalty rebate for sure. But overall the rebates are all on the 2020s and not the new 2021 yet. This will change in coming months.

Just placed my order for a 2021 so thought I would share the latest 2021 X3 M40i ordering guide. Nice to see the shadowline trim option as well as the carbon interior trim....tick and tick...

I contacted one broker from Leasehackr forums - who was upfront & knowledgeable. He already quoted me at least 10% off an order plus incentives, discounts and rebates. He works off pre-incentive numbers.

Just got tired of the run around I was getting from Front Range and other dealerships - waiting for his pricing to see if I proceed. Saving money on the order will allow me to add extra options I want, like the M suspension and differential.

And the wait begins. Super excited. It has been a few years since I had a BMW. I did have one question for this group and that is about front license plates. My build has the Driving Assistance Pro package. The sensor in the front seems very close to the front license plate location. Any issues reported?

My 30e is also went into production queue today. Just wondering when did you order yours and do you have a ETA on when you may receive your car? My salesman told me mine could be at the dealer end of Sept.

When I ordered my M40i, my dealer agent sent me an email with a vehicle inquiry report. That had the production week (e.g. Week 37) mentioned in the "assigned to" section. But even if you don't have this, you can call up the BMW USA number 1-800-831-1117 and use the production number or last few digits of VIN to find "Vehicle Production Status". The system will read back an estimated completion date.
My estimated completion has moved few days earlier according to the phone system.

This is cool - called up and entered build number and apparently build will complete on 9th Sept. I guess it then has to be shipped and prepped so end of Sept a possibility. Thanks for the tip.

That's a nice color, the blue was my second choice but carbon black won out. Blue does look awfully nice on the x3.

Some interesting info for those in northern CA.

My build moved to "Dispatched from factory" yesterday, so I was wondering how the rail shipping works to California.

I asked my sales contact to get the bill of lading number - plan was to see if I can track the vehicle on the train from factory to CA. He did another vehicle inquiry and got me the required info.

My idea was to try what is in this thread, just for fun.
https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1254021

What I am seeing in his screenshot is that northern CA deliveries are actually going to Richmond, CA in my case (north of San Francisco) and not to Oxnard in the LA area. Route: South Carolina to Kansas City (Norfolk Southern Rail) and then KC to Richmond (BNSF). It was on the train today after being dispatched from factory yesterday. Total estimated travel days show up as 10 days (probably this means the rail travel). I was expecting around 2 weeks.
