We were definitely close in production line. I guess I'll have to see what I get. I'd be happy to get the PS4S, but now I'm second guessing A/S vs winter setup now. I really like the 892M wheels and not excited at the prospect of putting 20" orbit gray 765Ms with winters on (nor buying them for a 3 yr lease).

My SA is off today but we talked. He hadn't even seen that it shipped yesterday. If it arrives tomorrow, he'll let me know and I run up to inspect it. Prob won't do delivery until Tuesday regardless.

Huh, it does kind of look like it doesn't it?

Didn't intentionally opt-out and it's on my build sheet. I'm guessing (hoping) it's just the white film they use for shipping.

Well, it's at the dealership. Aaaaand it's filthy so I couldn't inspect the paint. PS4S! Tartufo interior looks awesome. Can't wait to see the dark blue paint cleaned up.

I didn't end up taking delivery of mine last night because (I was told) BMW had not yet released the VIN. Fingers crossed for Monday.

Went 150 on 10/20 and jumped to 153 on 11/2, so about 13 days. The car went through the actual assembly process and entered carrier assignment within ~36 hours.

I'm sure you're close! What's your build week again? We are about to enter week 45.

Have you contacted Genius at all (844-4GENIUS)? They (or your advisor) can give you a more exact production date.

Keep an eye on it tomorrow. It could very well go straight to quality check or awaiting carrier assignment (assembled over the weekend).

Finally picked her up last night. Below are a couple horrible pictures, but I asked the dealership leave all the factory wrapping on and not wash it (and we currently have a large landscaping project happening so no driveway wash yet).

A few random musings after about 40 miles:

1) I was expecting the ride to be significantly harsher. I'd say comfort is roughly equivalent to sport in my prior M40

2) I haven't driven a pre-LCI F97, but I don't experience lag or deadness below 3k rpm to the extent it's hyped on the forums.

3) You can tell there's more waiting to be unleashed above 3k rpm. I'm wondering if this affects the perception of number 2 above.

4) Cold start is…throaty. I really wanted to throw on the RG Sport midpipe but now I'm afraid I'll be thrown out of the neighborhood.

5) Not impressed with BMW's QC coming out of Spartanburg. There are a couple issues with my car: excess plastic from molding on some trim pieces (easily plucked off), passenger side ambient lighting stuck in "dimmed at night mode", other doors stuck out of "dimmed at night mode" (toggling this setting has no effect), 1.5-2" gash in carpet and foam underlayment in rear passenger footwell

Overall, I'm thrilled. And even though I have some concerns about quality, the entire F97 package more than overshadows them. What a machine.

Only back windows come tinted.
