I'm not sure that is the case. I mean he did throw for 349 yards against the Saints in NO, he had a few games over 300 yards this season. But if you have a hot running game why stray from it? The 49ers were 2nd in the league in rushing after Baltimore.

+1. Not sure why that's the narrative because it's not true. He threw for nearly 4,000 yards in the regular season. If you're piling up yards on the ground and the defense is showing no willingness to stop it, why would you let up? Running the football on a team at the rate and with the success SF has this postseason mentally and physically breaks a team.

If you believe the limited number of pass attempts by Garoppolo is indicative of a lack of trust you're misguided.
