Of note, my X3 was delivered as expected. I got the kick to open tailgate (which I forgot about) and the passenger lumbar (I got leather), which I don't think anyone in my family has ever used. Was not able to get the Park Assist package because the day I called my dealer, the car flipped to 150.

I do have the mesh seatbacks, but don't have any tie downs for the back hatch - although I do have the space saver spare.....

I also went with the carbon fiber interior trim (love it).

The digital key is cool - not that I plan on using it other than in an emergency.

The charging pad decides when to work and when not to work - still glad I got it.

And the seats (ventilated) are rock hard - not sure if it is cause the ventilated option or they just need to break in.

LED ambient lights in all of the door bins has recently been reported as missing, as have led puddle lights.

Not happy about that. The rails I could throw money at (and did) to add back, doesn't look like this has a clean solution. Well, something had to justify the 2k price hike in the base model.
I’d also miss this as I use the armrest usb for music in my 22.

Just for ref, My 22 manual says the same as above, but data via the USB C armrest works fine.

Interesting, I know for sure snareman was working on trying to get it to work, don't know if he had any better luck. I've tried two different USB C sticks that work fine **everywhere** else and two different file formats - FAT32 and NTFS with no results. The USB A connector works with either of those formats with no trouble. I was lucky enough to find a nifty free piece of software to take care of my album art issues so that at least is working well.

I never had any luck. Admittedly I like the ease of use of going through Spotify as it's constantly updated with anything I updated in the app as opposed to having to put stuff on a drive. I'm going to the performance center to pick up my M8 next week. I'll see what they have to say about it there during my delivery

I guess BMW made a change.

Both the USB A and USB C (armrest) sticks show up in my media list and play without problem. I didn't need to do anything special to get the USB C working

So black armrest is only available with the red interior? Very generous for BMW to to add that for free...

They're illuminated? I'll have to take more notice at night LOL.

Yup, the little inserts on the dash vent dials are illuminated and change intensity along with the rest of the controls when the light level is adjusted. It’s a nice little detail.

As the saying goes, better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it. Glad I have both.

I don’t think this is accurate. My 2023 model has HUD, parking assist and 360 camera, drivers assistance, touch screen, and net behind seats.

Perhaps you're fortunate.

It appears to be a moving feast, so some orders may get things, whilst others don't. Some things may be permanent deletes, whilst others may be temporary.

The other problem is even if things are "on the order" or "standard", it doesn't guarantee BMW will fit them.

Garage List
Picked up a 2023 X3 xDrive30i in late Oct (a car off the lot and not a custom build).

hud - appears to only be an option for M40i for 2023

parking assistance and 360 camera / drive recorder - I have the PAP but not the drive recorder

drivers assistance package /w active cruise control - not an option on 4 cyl.

LED ambient lights in all of the door bins has recently been reported as missing - wasn't aware they were "missing" until I read the other thread.

passenger lumbar - I believe it's deleted from all 4 cyl (I do have driver-side lumbar)

touch screen capacity - I have this (unless I'm reading this wrong)

kick-to-open tailgate - I have this (was missing from a '22 GLC I was cross-shopping)

net behind seats - I have this

I think the HUD and the Driver Assistance Package are the only exclusives to the M40i for MY 2023.

Things like this make me feel grateful about my '19 every day, even though I'm down on power compared to the newer model years.

Some of these missing features and creature comports are embarrassing for the price/brand.

I'm glad to hear that not everyone is missing all features. Seems like luck of the draw?

Not sure about the actual touch capability of the main display, but the iDrive controller had the touchpad feature deleted, which also affected some late MY 22 orders.

Yes, this. Confirmed here as well. Early Oct 2022 build. Dropped Sep order/build that did not have driver lumbar or kick to open tailgate. Thanks to the info shared here by many contributors, I re-ordered and my Oct build has both of these standard features. Passenger lumber was removed as standard feature, at least for MY2023.

Cheers~

Don't forget the puddle lights are gone as well. I got to try my parking area up north this past week, and I'm going to need to fix that, the carpet lights don't extend out far enough to be useful.
