Scratch that, I found them elsewhere. Going to confirm whether or not they come with the wheel. The G01 realoem diagram shows the bare wheel, while the F90 diagram shows them installed.

I saw photos from the BMW ordering system of the M performance wheel, and that was just a bare wheel as well. |

I cancelled the new F90 wheel. I'm pretty sure the realoem diagram was misleading, it was going to be another $1450 to complete it, the red paddles alone were $550 extra.
I found a completely mint G30 wheel with DAP and Heat minus the airbag for $750 out of Germany. It didn't come up in the regular G30/G01 search, instead found it while looking at F90 wheels from the same seller. I am still buying the airbag from Schmiedmann, for $800. $1550 complete is far cheaper than the new F90 wheel for north of $3500. I recommend anyone looking for the airbags or small parts to check out Schmiedmann, I've ordered stuff from them in the past and it arrived as quickly as stuff from within North America. Aside from the early 3 stage part number they had access to everything you could need. I am certain the F90 wheel would work, so it is probably worthwhile to include it in the search for anyone else that wants to switch. If anyone needs the parts list I can add it here. |

I anyone is looking for clean not hot wheels and other BMW electronics, this seller seems to part out BMW's test mules. The wheel I bought is from a camouflaged 5er wagon, they are selling a bare bones G01 M Sport wheel right now. If you run the vins provided at the bottom you can see they are parts from pre-production models and camo test mules.

Here's an F90 M5 wheel from a pre-production car. Note the black M1, M2 buttons, the production color is red for those. If you want the M5 wheel vs the G30 or G01 I recommend getting something like this and if the scratches bother you move everything over to a fresh wheel rim.
https://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-M5-F90-5...4AAOSwr85baBlk https://www.ebay.de/usr/alpincars?_t...p2047675.l2559 This seller also parts out preproduction cars, there's a couple M5 and G30/G01 wheels here. F90 M5 Parts numbers: You have to pick and choose the option names based on what your wheel has currently. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=32_2596 - Here's the wheel, connecting line, vibration generator, covers, airbag, and hardware numbers. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5737 - Shift paddes, same part number as our 255 and 710 paddles. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5738 - Control unit and touch detection parts. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5740 - Red M multifunction buttons that can't be coded on our cars. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5739 - Wheel heater button https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5742 - Buttons. Some of the parts are the same numbers as our existing wheel. Many of the F90 parts are common between the 710 wheels. I gave up on getting it after realizing how much extra it was to cobble it together vs buying a used wheel off a pre-production car. Last edited by Pray for Mojo; 08-28-2018 at 11:57 PM.. |

https://www.ebay.de/str/bmwpartse37 there's a few here with small imperfections.
If you don't care about wheel heating there's some with alcantara here. https://www.ebay.de/sch/alpincars/m....1&_ipg=&_from= |

Got my wheel, perfect condition minus one tiny mark that you can barely see and can't feel. That seller is legit and he packs things perfectly. Only took a week to get here.

I contacted the dealer in Germany. The M Wheel he had was not the correct one for my car with my options. So I must keep looking.

So the airbag has been eluding me since August. The 32 30 7 855 725 has been on back order in Germany since then. I believe they've potentially discontinued that part number, the NA 2019 X3s with the M wheel are now coming with 32 30 8 097 022. I've ordered that airbag today and will let everyone know if it works.

Of course I kept the wheel and airbag. Used car manager didn't even understand that I had alpina dash coded. He would not have paid any extra on the trade. The car is over at IND right now getting some painted parts installed And honestly the last week with the stock wheel was so horrible. Made me hate the x3. Lol |
