Japanese chicken curry, with chicken thighs, Yukon Gold potatoes, celery, onion, parsley and madras curry powder. No Sapporo so we had a nice German lager. Mixed green salad with Fuji apple, kiwi and Stilton cheese.

Finally getting some rain and colder weather in LA (although apparently it’s going to be back up near the 80s this weekend), so my GF made the *best* 3-cheese grilled cheese and spicy tomato soup (with a nice note in cream) that I’ve ever had! Bread was home baked too!

Nobu has a famous Miso-marinated black cod recipe. My wife uses Chilean Sea Bass in lieu of black cod and marinates it in a miso, mirin and sake mix for 24 hours. Side dishes are a Japanese cucumber salad (Sunomono) and sushi rice. Accompanies by a mixed green salad with avocado, kiwi and St. Agar cheese along with a dry Alsatian Riesling.
