I've been tracking the ships in the RoRo dock in Durban and Silver Glory has been the container I guessed my car would be on (I've been told end of July arrival in uk) When you put your vin in the GCOS Customer Enquiries does it say your car is on that ship? Mine just says arrived at port via road

Ohhhh exaggeration does make that story better no? The keen eyed observer will note. I really meant it was around 10 days from exit factory (code 165) to final ship named ;-)

ah thank you that's good to know! I keep seeing reference to codes like that 165 where do I find out my status code? Is this something I need to query with the dealer?

BMW Genius (not literally) can tell you via live chat off bmw.co.uk. You need your order number. You also have to ask specifically for the code. If yours shows up there for sure it is 165ish (in between factory exit and prior to shipping).

Pick up from dealer confirmed for 1st July!
For those son the ship that went straight to Southampton you are very lucky, have saved yourselves about an extra 6-8 weeks of waiting! |

I've been checking that Durban port thing that says when my car arrived at the port and when they leave. The past 11 days its said 'arrived at port by road on the 19th of June'
but I went to query it today and I got this message ''No data found - Please try search again" either their services are down or my vin has been wiped from the system. Can anyone else query their VIN on this http://41.160.4.58:8080/apex/f?p=102:5:::NO::: and has this happened to anyone before ? |

I'll probably get in touch with my Park Lane representative tomorrow / Monday and see what's up. It's mad how hard it is to track orders on a 50k+ vehicle. The only good thing to come out of the tracking progress is that I have learned a lot about shipping haha |

The dealer was the most inaccurate source of tracking for what’s that worth. |

OMG! After all you went through with us on these pages. What was wrong with the bodywork? Is there anything we should be looking for?
