Your wrong.. 182 means the car has arrived ind bremerhaven, and next step is that it gets loaded on af truck and delivered to your country.. My brothers car was in code 165 as soon as the car was in bremerhaven in changed to 182, the following week he got and deleivery date, and the car was delivered.. the codes are not the same for all countries. We live en denmark.

No update still code 165 with a delivery date of the 7th November.

Holding out hope that it's on the Volans leader as it stayed fairly consistent since BMW bought delivery forward

No. Normally 182 is Plant to Port of Departure (Dalian). The dealer showed me screenshot - the car does not have a Load Number - so according to the system it was not processed to be loaded onto a boat. You are right tough, the car in in Bremerhaven in actuality. A friend of mine had the same experience - after the car was built - status codes went to hell - no update until 3 weeks before. receiving the car. My point is - tracking system is not reliable for the IX3.

More confusion for me today. As a reminder, built 28th July, at Dalian 1st August, went to 195 on 10th October. Genius now saying delivery 18th December.

I emailed my supplying dealer today. He did some digging and in the old codes I'm 9620 At Sea. He thinks that's the passage from Germany to Southampton and suspects the car may be in the UK. The 3 digit code is 195, which he believes to mean at the UK docks.

Then, separately, I receive an email from Arval stating delivery is expected 31st October.

So looks like the post above about codes being all over the place may be right.

So I'm non the wiser!!!!

Yup, the code for ix3 is not reliable. And its different from country to country.. I talked to my dealer today, and he told me that all cars i DK will stay 165 until it hits bremerhaven and thereafter change to 182

Clearly somethings going on.

My employers leasing broker whilst saying to expect delivery of ours’ in early November said he believes it’s due to BMW’s system not recognising, or not receiving a shipping number in China and so the system not being aware the car has actually shipped and so can’t rely on Genius to give accurate details.

How true this actually is will depend if a car actually turns up in early Nov!

I have build day 27/7 and 29/7 at Dalian and is one day before your car so I think is on Altair leader because my car unloaded at 14/10 in Bremerhaven.

I visited my dealer today, my car was built on July 29th and is at code 165 without changes since August 13th.... I find it very strange... the dealer will try to get more information tomorrow... the date delivery went from October to November and now it's moved to January...

Thanks, good luck with getting some news on yours.

If I get mine before Christmas I'll be happy enough I guess, anything earlier I'll see as a bonus. Next year would make me really sad!

Yeah worse things to worry about. If it runs into late November though, going to cost me a service & MOT which I'd like to avoid!

Altair Leader still sat in Zeebrugge, Southampton shipping movements just changed their anticipated arrival of the vessel to 25th from 23rd (had been in last week as 21st). Still saying it will be coming from Emden, but Emden expected movements still not showing the Altair Leader at all. The saga continues.

Cassiopeia hasn't had any call at Dalian I can see.

Dionysos last called at Dalian in March.

Well, I'm also the part of the BMW delivery saga.
Ordered late December 2021 in all hassle as BMW would reduce the fleet discount from 15 to 0%, on an 80k euro car this has a huge impact.
They promised the car in max 6 months, all sounded well till the paperwork was done.

I received a lot of delivery dates already, currently it is 'might be December 2022', not far from the first delivery date March 2023.

BMW doesn't even know where the car is, they assume it is on a boat underway, but they aren't sure and can't tell for sure on which boat.
Last real date is transported from factory to Dalian on 24th of July.

I opted for the iX3 because of promised fast delivery times and the i4 would be delivered over the 5-year lease term of my current car. The iX3 might slip also past that point.
