Played around a bit with Bimmercode and added red ambient light.

Need to mess around some more to figure out how to make custom colors.

None of the guides I can find online seem to work for the iX3.

How did you do that to add red? I’m keen to know. I reckon you uses expert mode? So now your idrive setting shows red as one of the option?

It's a standard coding option.

You can change Bronze to one of 10 or so predefined colors.

So you don't get an extra setting, it's still called Bronze.

Should be able to code any RGB value in expert mode (search "bimmercode ambient light"), however the guides I've found don't seem to work.

Does bimmercode work for activating automatic lane change, traffic light detection, etc?

Don't know.

There's a dedicated thread to enabling those features somewhere.

I expect it's too advanced for Bimmercode, but someone else will know better than me.

I´m pretty sure that Bimmercode can´t activate these functions.

Think it’s definitely down to personal preference, I wasn’t sure at first, but like them now

What colour is that. It looks too black to be carbon black (Carbon black has a navy tinge under artificial light)

It is Sophisto grey as someone mentioned! Looks almost black under certain light, especially when the car is clean - which isn’t that often in my case
