Updating on this thread as well. Black calipers (option S3M6 m compound brake black high gloss), part numbers are 34109504108 right and 34109504109 left. $1630 MSRP, $986 thru braman bmw parts.
They drop ship from Germany (according to the parts guys), so the shipping is very high, $159 for the pair. The blue ones (34108074303 left and 34108074304 right) are available stateside and shipping on those is $57, also thru braman. Those are the cheapest prices I could find anywhere. |

Good information here. Is there anyway to get this same setup in a red variant rather than the blue?

It's worth noting that this retrofit is also plug and play on most G series cars such as 3, 5, 7 series etc.

I have braid brake lines. Enough not to fit in the holders (1.5-2inches I’m guessing) since this caliper is a little bit bigger and placement of the line is further down from the original location. So far so good have got them hot yet.

If you grab a pear of rubber latex gloves, then put some canvas work gloves on top of that (for "super" extra grip) & take your time (it's damn good workout) you'll eventually see the rubber bushing on the brake lines move a touch. So you can get them where you need them to been in those strut brackets up front.

I just got my apple gloves in and my apple glasses I’m going to give it a shot today. 🤣🤣🤣 But on another note 📝 they are working good 👍🏽 bleed them with RBF660 so far I do feel that there is a bit more stopping power with the same amount of brake pedal effort. I’m going to get some new lines made anyways just for peace of mind.

will they be braided? I wonder how that affects pedal feel. I love how the stock pedal is, so would not want to change that. plus, my truck never sees track duty so not sure I will take advantage of stainless lines. |

I had braided on my truck for a while. I don’t know if this is the right word to use but it feels more direct. (The orange line in the picture is the braided line i got from rg-sports 😉

so is the consensus that brake lines are needed for this install or no? some say it's completely plug and play (calipers, pads, sensors, bolts) or are longer lines suggested or even needed at all for the install? if so, which brake lines are needed for a seamless install?

I do wish that StopTech or some other "highly reputable company" made some SS lines for our X3's. For no I don't trust or have 100% confidence in the very limited SS brake lines that are currently out there. Since 99.999% of X3 M owners will never step foot on an auto track course, SS aren't necessary yet.
