I did get rid of 2016 M4 already figuring it would be quicker in getting an allocation (knew M3/4 and X540e had a long list at the dealership). I At least with the cars made in SC, the delivery is quick once produced. Last year, we ordered a 330e that took a long time to come from Mexico with the wait to go to the port, wait for a ship, wait for the ship to unload and wait to ship to the dealer. It look like 7 to 8 weeks after production to the dealer.

My build status has been all over the map.
Order placed 4/1 - status 111 production week 21 4/25 - Moved to 112 5/2 - Moved to 105. Genius said I was now week 23 build. 5/16 - 111 status once more. Build pushed back again, now week 26, end of June. What sucks is my rate is locked until the 22nd of this month, I won’t have a VIN by then. Rates have gone up quite a bit since I locked… Damnit. |

[QUOTE=redbullfan;28920555]It only went up .5%
PenFed is going my lender, their rates have gone up more than that as other lenders I’ve been shopping. At this point I just hope I can get financing squared away before the next fed rate hike. |

Thanks for sharing that tidbit. I'm OK with 2023 cars having iDrive 8. We all knew that BMW, like all car companies, keep developing new technologies to hook the next generation of car buyers. It's inevitable. But I am like you, my car just entered the assembly line and should be completed tomorrow, May 19. No doubt there will be a hefty price increase for 2023 cars - inflation is real and actually feel quite good about buying a car that was priced some months ago.

Our bmw DSM told me a couple of days ago that production of 23 x3M's won't start until around sept.
ALL x3M's that was in 111 or 112 status went into 105 status last week bc of part shortages. Then was given new production weeks for 23rd week +. I was week 21 production, in 112 for 2weeks due to go into 150 any day when all 105s happened : Ordered in November and been waiting ever since. Just my luck. Hopefully at least I win the tire lottery when it finally comes in. Luckily bmw approvals are extended to 120 days now and my rate should be locked in by the time it gets here |

X4 MC
4/6/22: Status 111 - Order accepted. 4/21/22: Status 112 - Scheduled for production. 5/5/22: Status 150 - Production started 5/18/22: Status 153 - Entering the assembly line 5/19/22: Status 182 - Awaiting carrier assignment. Went through "Quality check" for only a few hours this morning. It appears to me that the status indications on "My Garage" are unreliable up until, and including, Status 150. Once they actually are putting the beast together, it seems to be live data. I use Firefox as my "DD." I found that Microsoft Edge worked better when performing the F12 trick. Also, I found that one should press F12 while looking at the first screen that pops up, i.e. don't go into the detail (next) screen. I was able to see what I believe is the dealers MSRP with BMW NA. There is about a $5k margin in there. Irrelevant in today's market where MSRP (Sticker price) is a decent deal. The F12 trick also include info on other Bimmers I own. If anyone has recent experience with X-models transport and delivery to California center-coast dealers, I'd love to learn what transit time you experienced. Also, is there a way to track an X-SAV from South Carolina on the train to San Bernadino? U'stand that from there it is transported by truck to the dealer.

Is this only for X3M cars? Yeah, I feel your painr with being pushed back, but on the positive side you are likely to get a "complete" vehicle with no options deleted - or a "stop sale" order at the dealership. Just trying to cheer you up...

Joining the "150" club!
Ordered an X3MC in Carbon Black with Tartufo interior on March 12th. Got an allocation on April 16th, and was originally told it would be a week 25 build. Yesterday it moved to 112 status, and my CA told me it had been moved to a week 23 build. Just checked a few minutes ago and it has already moved to 150 status with an estimate completion of 8th June. Starting to get excited now as it will be my first full M car (currently have a 2020 M340 xdrive which my wife is taking over).

I've used idrive 8 in the i4/ix and let's just say I wasn't too impressed with it. Neither is the many car journalist reviewing it on YouTube .
Don't get me wrong, some things are cool about it, but some are not soo much and more difficult to use imo |

I believe they would end up being 2023s not 2022s, I read somewhere the model year switches in July.
