I have a 24 X4M with 11-2023 and anti-dazzle worked the same after the OTA update, nothing was cleared. I don’t see why protool wouldn’t be able to re-code it.

You probably have ID8, so there might be a difference from the ID7 in pre LCI X5's.

I went with the X4M specifically because it doesn’t have ID8 yet, it has ID7.

Like I mentioned, I had no issues with 11.2023. It is the 03.2024.19 code that gave me (and gives me) issues. I think it is a combo of the new code and the app that broke some of these easy-step configs.

Has anyone heard whether they have fixed the easy coding for Anti-Dazzle in ProTool yet?

Still not working, I've been emailing almost daily. They're having me put in the parameters manually (its a ton of them) and cycle the ignition to see if the changes stick. If not, there's a bigger problem somewhere else.

They released two updates to their app in the past two (or three?) weeks since they found a programming error on their code, based on their emails to me.

Yeah, I went through the same shit...almost 2 months ago and lasted for a few weeks. I moved on and had it recoded via esys within 10 mins. I gave up on Protool.

on another note, i'm curious if these two values can be changed for the antidazzle to work at lower speeds, living in the mountains of PA it's pitch black and some areas i don't even get past 20mph because it's narrow and lots of blind corners and wild animals. it's annoying when the lights keep going from antidazzle to dipped beam every few seconds.

I was checking this out in ProTool and doesn’t look like anything has changed in KAFAS from previous posts fyi. Still looks broken.

Send them an email (also) and complain about it, share what they tell you. I'm still waiting for their reply from my email from last week.

I have been reading through this thread and it appears there are several options (bimmercode, E-SYS...). And much discussion of other car model groups other than my LCI G30.

Can anyone elaborate what is the easiest/best method for fully enabling VLD on a LCI G30?

I have a copy of E-SYS Premium 2.0. I'd this capable, or out-of-date?

I have a copy of ISTA 4.39.2x, a windows 11 laptop, an ethernet to OBD-II adapter. Also, a Carly and a Foxwell BT-809 scanner, if they are any use for this.

I've watched a few videos, but am still looking for advice on how to do this most simply on a G30 LCI. Possible with the tools that I already have. Not sure if what I have seen is out-of-date or applies to this model. TIA

For sake of clarity, is there an issue using protool to code anti dazzle on pre id6 cars that do not support ota updates? Trying to ascertain if I need to hold off buying protools to use on my 2020, and confirm recent posts are purely in relation to ota updates screwing up prior successful codes by protools. Ty

Yeah this seems clear as mud.

So afaict bimmercode doesn't work at all. Protools appears to have some issues with config files and may not work correctly with LCi vs Non LCI vs ???. Esys works (if you know it well enough)? BimmerUrility is like esys but more user friendly..... I just learned about that tool.....

Does that sum it up?

Just traded my wife's F85 X5 M in for a a 2020 F97 X3M and I already have bimmercode. Im debating buying protools but dont ant to bother if it's still problematic for non LCi F97's

Theres several posts in the forums that will walk you through advanced mode to code anti-dazzle, all of the coding apps are pretty much capable. What people say it cant do is the easy code function where you just tick the box to "on", you have to actually manipulate like 15 functions to get it to work.

Ahh ok gotcha. Yeah if I can get it done with bimmercode I'll put off buying protools a little while longer

Hey guys...

I've searched and read a lot of different threads and I don't seem to have a clear answer...

Does anyone have a reliable way to code the Anti Dazzle lighting on a 2020 model F97, preferably with Bimmer Code?

Thanks in advance.

Since it’s been a few days without a response I figured I’d chime in. When I was digging into this for my 2024 X3, my understanding was that anti-dazzle does not work correctly on pre-LCI without the matrix LED headlights. I ran into a similar issue a few years ago with my M2 Competition, where I enabled anti-dazzle, but it would fail to mask the highbeams properly in a lot of situations.

Thanks. I have posted in the bimmergeeks fb group about pre LCI coding and will report back when I hear something.

I had a 2016, 340 with active LEDs that I had professionally coded and the anti dazzle functionality was amazing. Really want to get this done on the f97 asap.
