+1, please post a photo of the light projectors. I've been wanting to get them but wasn't sure how they would look with the lighting that is already present.
I saw someone posted the pic once, that the door projection did not overlap with the original courtesy light carpet. Somehow I could not find that pic again :

If only the search feature here worked better!

Good to hear that it doesn't interfere though. I'd still like to see a photo though before plunking down the money.

The pic I saw (based on my aging memory) was the BMW roundel light projection. Can't confirm the same if you try other projection pattern.

Thanks! Looks pretty good but it appears you'd have to have the door fully open not to overlap on the existing lighting. Hmm...

What did I do to my X3 today

Well today I was told that my New X3 2.0 M Sport ordered in January will not be getting shipped from South Africa until after the 29th March due to fears over border controls with Brexit and I can expect a further 8 weeks from then till delivery, quite frankly I'm totally disgusted!!! Anyone else received this news today??

You hit the nail on the head! The darn thing at the bottom as you said just skids around. Yes, velcro attachments, also as seen on front floor mats bottom.

I haven't yet started the installation, but the following step with knife, with (possible) cutting/trimming (???) doesn't sound good,

Hopefully on my cars, this step can be avoided...

According to the previous post #386, these lights could be a bit tricky to install. Just be patient and make sure the connectors are the right ones. Good luck!

PS - regarding the trunk mat, I should know it well since I am using the same one and it took me a while to get it secured

You just need to use the 'hook' side of the velcro, it will grab onto the factory carpet, I put some on my ladders to stop them sliding around in the cargo area.

How hard was it replacing the side vents? Did you watch anything on it (couldn't find any) or just pry it off?

Super easy. I just popped them out with some trim removal tools I bought from Amazon. The replacements just pop right in.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the IND painted reflectors. Hope to have them in a few days. Also, I’m not one for teasers, and I’m not uploading any pics until it’s done, but wheels, tires, and springs are in my possession. These, along with the reflectors, will go on next week.

Haha it's not about the time to test it out but more-so the right area to test it out in.

Man this SAV is fun. Was on a freeway access road when some kid decides to look back at me and then proceed to cut me off. I go over to the right lane and start to speed up and he does the same. I floored it and he had no idea that this little SAV had that much power. Gave up pretty quickly.

The M40i definitely is a fantastic sleeper SUV that can do a lot of things that a typical SUV has no business doing. Most folks out there has no idea how powerful this B58 engine is.
