I read the OP and I have couple of questions:

- Are there any other requirements or suggestions for laptop other than Win 7 and 16 GB free space? I mean: does it matter if the Windows is 64-bit or 32-bit? What about memory, 4 GB or more?

- are there links available for the cable buying?

- "Useful Cheat Sheet for Fxx, file for F25 attached, others are available in different forums", that sheet is quite short... has anyone gathered longer list?

- What would be the codes for adjusting bulb warning current to be lower for front turn signals and reversing lights?

Laptop requirements are minimal. XP, Win7 or Win8, 32-Bit or 64-Bit all work fine. I would have at least 2 GB of RAM and 50 Gb of free hard drive space.

Any eBay seller of ENET Cable should work, or get an ENET Adapter like this:

Ethernet to OBD2 Adapter (ENET)

http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=23

Since F25 uses mostly the same ECU as F10 (e.g. CAS, FRM, CIC/NBT, etc.), you can use F10 Cheat sheet, and most codes will work the same.

I do not know what you mean by "bulb warning".

Bulb warning = OBD tells me that the bulb is not functioning ok -> it has burned out or some other problems.

I would like to adjust the lower trip level current of that message for front turn signal bulbs and reversing bulbs.

I don't think you can "adjust" the trigger points. You can only enable or disable the Cold and Warm checks. It's all or none.

For rear turn signals that has already been done on my vehicle.

I think it would be odd if the same adjustment couldn't be done for other bulbs as well.

So what was it exactly you coded for the rear turn signals?

hey guys, I coded my E92 with a K+DCAN USB cable. Can this be used for an F25? Or does it have to be an ethernet cable?

DCAN Interface is for Exx only and ENET Interface is for Fxx only.

I did not code, it was coded. There were lines for that, but they didn't have actual ampere values.

I had regular bulbs replaced with LEDs in rear turn signals and the OBD warned that bulbs are out, even though the LED bulbs were ok. The problem was, that OBD "saw" too little ampere (resistance) and thought they are gone.

Instead of switching the bulb warnings off, the trip level was lowered. Now there are no warnings, unless I detach the bulbs and then it gives warning.

The reason for this setting trip levels lower was that I still get warning if the LED bulb dies. If the warning system is disabled and the bulb dies, there is no warning message.

...
So, I would ask whomever coded it then what FDL Code changes he made to adjust the Trigger Levels, as I have never heard of coding such a thing, and then see if those same FDL Codes exists for the Turning Lights and Reversing Lights.
