For those following the Altair Leader with great expectation like me, it has now appeared on the Southampton port movement information for arrival 6:30am on 21st, coming from Emden. So looks like a few more days sat about in between now and then.

So we’re still 165 this morning, with delivery still showing as next week

Can’t believe it myself!

Anybody else with late July and august builds which have had any changes to their codes?

Our order went to 190, then back to 165 but that was back in September I believe. Whatever that actually means in any case is anyones guess!

I don't know what to make of it but cars taking 3/4 months post build to be delivered to the UK is a bit poor really.
BMW really need to get this element of the process speeded up.

Especially when you have to wait 4-5 months for them to build it from ordering!

Same here.. I visited the dealer today, still expected arrival ind Denmark on week 42, and delivery medio week 44... he told me, he think it would hold - normally there system will update the weeks, if the car is late..... still code 165 so hopefully next week i will know some thing new, and hope that the car was with the altair leader..

Mine was build on 29 of july, and was then updated to code 165 and have not had any other updated since then... I saw today that the latest update was on 29th of july

Just asked my dealer about my status code earlier. Still 165- nothing changed. Actual build date is 22nd of July, status change 24th July. I really hope the "status code" system is broken somehow and is not updating. I can't imagine why a car would just wait around in a port for 3 months.

Posted by a member in the Facebook group just now for those not in it...
"Expecting my car at the end of Oct and apparently it’s stuck in Germany at the min. The dealer said there are 200 BMW’s stuck. Something about a quality enhancement and a problem with the port so I’m not entirely sure what the hold up is!! Anyone else waiting?"

It's also mentioned on this weeks and last weeks shipping list..." Bremerhaven experiencing heavy delays, future vessels in the schedule might not reflect such delays yet.

So between last week and today

My car status is still 165

But according to genius my car is arriving next week...

But dealer said it's more likely December.

😫😫

Does anyone know if there are any ships due between now and end of October?

Build was 20/08

It's a joke isn't it.
BMW must know exactly where these vehicles are and how many vehicles are potentially in front of ours in the queue to be shipped.
I find it hard to believe that BMW cannot give an accurate delivery time frame once the car is built.
Everything after build is a known quantity.
To have vehicles built in July allegedly still sat at the docks just isn't acceptable by any standards especially when they are sold vehicle's.

I really do feel for you guys waiting for your cars, you expect a lot better when purchasing something over 60k, even if via a lease, BMW really need to get a grip on this. Just hope you guys don't have to wait much longer and you find it worth the wait.

Mine is one of the cars that changed to "at sea" around October 11th, built July 28th, arrived at Dalian August 1st.

Today my delivery date slipped by about 2 weeks to December 18th. So that will be 10 days short of 5 months from build to delivery! (If it doesn't slip again)

I just can’t believe that BMW are quite happy to run a business like that. Fair enough with what’s going on at the moment globally to have delays on building cars, but for them to basically sit around for months on end it a compound somewhere is ridiculous. We’ll all be getting 23 plates at this rate and a 12 month lead time from ordering!!

That delivery date isn't to you that's just to get it to the dealer you can probably add 2 weeks on to that date once it's offloaded from the ship, PDI'd and registered etc.
