They get jammed up, and the car needs to go to sleep to reset the IP Port.

A few weeks ago I modified HU_CIC, RDC_SAFETY, to 01 active. That did cause the display to show the graphics associated with displaying the actual data but the data itself is not displayed, only a few "---" appear in place of the numbers. (BTW, the cheat sheets indicate "RCD_SAFETY" but I am sure this is a typo and it should be "RDC_SAFETY") Today I recoded it back to 0, inactive, saved the change, and the associated graphics were no longer displayed. I then recoded it back to active and again there are only dashes for the actual numbers. Ant suggestions what to troubleshoot would be appreciated. |

Yes, whatever cheat sheet you were looking at, if it showed RCD instead of RDC, it was a Typo.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. In some cars, for reasons unknown, it simply refuses to work.

I have a 2012 X3 F25, I have done a fair bit of coding on it but I have a problem / query, I am trying to lose the seat belt gongs, I have the location ie "ACSM" But I do not have any "3000 Ausstattungsflags" within it, Can anybody help with this one please?
I have also tried searching for SeatBeltReminder_SBR_Fahrer but no success

Do not restrict yourself to a specific section of the CAFD, as they vary from one CAFD to another. Search the whole CAFD for FDL Code, without regard to section (i.e. 3000 Ausstattungsflags). Just use the search bar at the top, and search for FDL Codes by name. Understand though that the search bar searches only from the Top => Down, so make sure you start at the top of the CAFD, and do not have any leading or trailing spaces in your search term.
The Seatbelt FDL Codes names vary too. Look for the alternate names below: SBR_BF_GWF_SBR_BF (aka SeatBeltReminder_SBR_Beifahrer) SBR_FA_GWF_SBR_FA (aka SeatBeltReminder_SBR_Fahrer) SPW_BF (aka SBR_PreWarning_Beifahrer) SPW_FA (aka SBR_PreWarning_Fahrer)

I can't say for sure, but if FA is updated to >=0713 and written to car, ISTA/P most likely won't reject it.

Your I-Level has nothing to do with it. It is your FA Production Date that matters.
Production Date is FA => Zeitkriterium=xxxx

You have selected an incompatible Option in your FA and need to fix it.

I am following the pdf guide in begining this post
when i want activate FA Coding CAFD files: CAFD files (ncd) contain the setting data/ parameters for each ECU. Modifying the values in these files change the behavior of ECUs. Connect E-Sys to car and follow the steps to read CAFD file/s to be coded. (You may take help of cheat files to decide which ECU you would like to code and which are the associated CAFD files). Expand the folder of the selected CAFD file. Right click on the CAFD file and click "Edit FDL". Enter the pin if asked. Open the module you wanted to edit under “Daten”, click on the Functionen folder, then open the ausgelessen folder of the selected function. It will show the current settings. Change them as per Cheat Sheet and Save. To be on the safer side, edit only one ECU at a time. After making all changes in the CAFD files of ECU as per the cheat sheet for that function, save and go back by pressing top extreme left green arrow "back" button. Now you can see FA again. Right click on it and "Activate FA". You will see a green active text next to FA. Also FP will open on the right side. |
