Many thanks to April for putting the effort into the guide. Took a while to get a block of time to code, but the instructions made it real simple. Used the initial cheat sheet for the door unlock on engine stop, key FOB and CA codes, but really love the TPS code for the PSI and temp. Now to scour for more fun updates...

April1 has been very helpful on this forum, we need to support him by buying cables/token off of him.
Shawnsheridan has been extremely helpful and he answers every request and PM thrown his way, I don't believe shawnsheridan sells anything but I'm sure his team appreciates some form of appreciation through donations and whatnot |

Thanks, and no I don't sell anything. I don't have a team either. It's just me.

I've got an F15 on order, is coding possible?
I have the latest version of E-Sys & PSdZData files working on my F25 at the moment.

Yes. You will still use F25 as your Target Connection.

Wondering if anyone's seen a code which would automatically disengage the Auto P feature when shifting to reverse? Always back-in to my garage and wouldn't mind not having to remember to turn it off every time.

Coding - active headrests
Hi. I'm new to all this coding lark and hoping to start coding some of the usual stuff next week.
I have my cable and the software from Shawn (thanks!). Where do I get a token? One of the more unusual things I'm hoping to code is the "removal" of the front active headrests. I would like to put in DVD headrests as I had them in my old X5 and definitely keep the kids quiet on long trips to France! Does anyone know if you can code the car so it thinks the car never had active headrests? Thanks |

Any idea why disabling the bulb failure check of reversing lights lead into several failures, such as: tyre pressure warning, drive train warning, xDrive warning, etc. etc.?
The car is F25, production 12/2011 (MY 2012). |

In your E-Sys package was a "E-Sys - Installation Instructions - v.5.pdf" document. Token solution options are explained in great detail in it.

It shouldn't, unless you corrupted your CAFD during the process.

After 43 pages in this thread I still don't understand how this coding stuff works...
I was successful having followed the instructions to the 't' but can someone dumb down exactly what's happening with coding. Is it similar to flashing the bios on the home computer? what are the hardware and software components? tokens, etc. etc. Thanks. A successful Luddite

Quote:
Hardware = All the ECU's in your CAR, a Laptop, and an ENET Cable Interface. Software = E-Sys Application and PSdZData Coding Files Token = Digital certificate file that allows you to use E-Sys to make changes to ECU settings.

Then it would seem that whatever you coded was something other then the Bulb Warm and Cold checks.
