Think I figured it out. It's going from a stop, turning onto a street, full accel, dsc on, not launching, in sport mode. Thoughts?

Iphone help

Just did the flash with my Iphone and ethernet to IOS adaptor linked to ethernet to OBD2 cable.

As discussed, when wifi was on it wouldn't connect at all, wouldn't sense vehicle.
Once off it worked like a charm, flashed effortlessly without issue.

I'm running stage 1 BM# 93, best time before the trans tune was 4.07.

Just had a heavy tow bar installed and wider wheels and lowered springs, but despite that the flash took a whole 10th off.

Nice one! Great result!

I'm yet to do some draggy times, and need to get around to it.

Wow, thank you guys for being the beta testers on this. I'll be following your recommendations of download flash first, turn off wifi, then flash. I prefer to use the OBD/ENET to iOS adapter these days due to BM3, so I'll use that to flash. I couldn't pull off the X3MComp, but picked up a 2018 X3 M40i for a steal this weekend, so I'd love to at least crack into the 3's like my 335i did, which I think is totally reasonable. One question for owners though, if I didn't want to buy the whole map pack, and get bought one, would you go straight to the Stg. 3 or perhaps stay modest with the Stg. 2? This is my daily, and it's got to make it 3 years

You can't buy individual map packs, the map pack licence gives you stage 1, 2, 3.

Regarding which one is best for you, that depends on your driving style.

^^ correct, you have to buy the license to be allowed to flash on your car. then must buy the map pack to have RBT's maps available to you to flash. for which one? just go to stage 3, there's not enough of a difference between 2-3 to be warranted in my opinion.

On another note, I'm trying a few more options in the XHP settings. going to flash to stock shift points and see how it goes. One of the biggest issues I've had with XHP is that even in sport+ and M/S it doesn't hold the revs high like the stock setup does. so I think I'm going to run the stock shift points for the rest of the week and figure out exactly where I want it. the XHP ones just keep the RPM's way too low in the majority of cases and they just want to shift higher too soon for my taste. With how much boost I'm running at low RPM i'm getting compressor surge so often at part throttle lift that i'm starting to get worried about my mechanicals. Also considering buying the Big Boost BOV to alleviate this as I can't imagine it getting better when I go more power.

Anyone else have thoughts on the shift point mapping XHP gives vs stock?

I think I found a bug with XHP, but I'm having an issue replicating it. Can anyone that's following this thread and has NOT flashed XHP yet give me some info? I need to know what gear the car wants to be in at like 60mph or so in comfort, sport, and sport+ mode, each on normal drive and with the shifter over to the M/S side. I'm thinking XHP has a glitch but I can't undo it since I've already flashed xhp to prove it. Can anyone help me out with some info? this is just cruising not during a pull or anything.

I just bought the xHP license and the xHP 8 Speed Map Pack. However, I still need a cable. Can someone tell me the correct cable to get to connect to the car via an iPhone?

I found that diagram a bit confusing since it doesn't list G Series.

I ended up ordering a ENET (Ethernet to OBD) Interface Cable E-SYS ICOM Coding F-Series Fit for BMW and a ENBIA RJ45 Ethernet LAN Network Adapter for Phone Pad, Phone Ethernet Adapter, 10/100Mbps High Speed,Plug and Play Enbia (Silver) from Amazon.

My first run ever with this SUV, without xHP flash. I know it's not an X3MC, but these things move, and I like no payment much better

Nice job, your car is well modded so it wouldn’t surprise me.

If not, I’m happy to start one, Hope to get my stage 2+ times in tonight.

nope. nobody ever chimed in, but i'm working with RBT to get it fixed. I can go from comfort to sport to sport+ and RPMs and gear never change. So while I don't know what the car does stock, I know it's not right. If RBT can't get it fixed (they should be able to) then I'll need to figure out what stock shifting is supposed to be and have the shift points altered with the custom settings to reflect what stock does.... So we'll see what happens, but if you want to be a tester and give me oem values, I'd appreciate it so I can know if whatever RBT does changes back when what it is supposed to or not.

I tried two different brand new ENET Cables and simply cannot connect to the car. I used all the settings they said to use on my iPhone. Both ENET cables seem faulty as they don't "light up" when I plug them into my router at home.

However, it seems odd that they both were delivered broken.

I notified xHP and sent them pictures. I'm sure I'll hear back from them in the morning.

I'm ordering the xhp here shortly.

What do i need to do to get you the info you need?

Says here that one can create a full backup of the stock.

I don't know if the app allows you to look at what the shift points are default setup with the stock.

I have the 2019 x3 m40i.
