I test drove a 35i yesterday at BMW Canbec (in Montreal). The dealer told me that when I'm ready to order, it takes about 4 weeks to receive the car...

Well, maybe in Eastern Canada, but I really doubt 4 weeks. Most orders I have heard of take roughly 2 months, especially to Western Canada (and it's only a couple extra train days West vs East I would think).

I have received my 35i within 7 weeks from BMW Laval. The sales agent from this dealership was wonderful and responsive. He called me even after I have taken the car to see how is everything. How much is the Canbec quoting you for taxes and all those fees? |

Congrats on the new car. When I'll order, he'll give me a 3% discount on the X3 plus the options: -Tech package; - Premium package; - Executive package; - M sport package; - Metallic colour; - Head-up display. I have to pay: - Transport and prep fees (1995$); - Admin fee (459$); - Air tax (100$); -Regular GST and PST on top of that... What was your taxes and fees??? |

Hi again, I have a similar package to yours and I got 2% off from the Total MSRP. However, I did not pay any Admin Fee nor Air Tax. Hope this helps you to get the best deal. |

I ordered mines on June 15 and it went into production on the 18th so I believe there was slots available and what not. Just waiting for production to finish which is this week and delivery is going to be fast considering I'm about 500 miles north of SC.

How long did it take to get your X3 in Canada?
About 2 hours. Went in yesterday and test drove an X3 and it had everything I wanted on it (M-sport, dynamic comfort, tech package, premium package and exec package). They were able to give me a pretty good deal so I drove away in it! Loving it so far. It's Carbon Black. Never been a big fan of black but this is a really nice black-just a hint of dark dark blue in it. Just came on here today to see if I can find the solution to the arrows staying on in the dashboard after you have reached your destination. I know I saw it on here when I was doing all my research. I have tried the voice command 'stop navigation' but it just tells me that navigation is not active. Can someone direct me to the thread that discusses this? I tried a search but too many results came up.
Going on a road trip to Alberta next week. Looking forward to getting some good seat time in my new baby! |

Hi Mingstar88, noticed that in your configuration you are actually getting sport suspension, the staggered wheels and performance tires. Did those become standard in the M Sport package starting July production? I had my order built week 24 and I am still waiting for the delivery. Just wondering why mine seems different from yours as I get normal suspension, non-staggered wheels and all season tires...

Worked out a deal last week, June 22. Missed the cut off for July production so will have to wait for the August production. Takes a month to get the car built and another month to get it delivered, said the dealer.

Dealer gave me an update last week that my production finally started this week. I ordered last week of April where they said production will be in mid-May with delivery in early June. I'm guessing the production slot that was originally promised to me was given to someone else. Not a happy camper that the vehicle will be 6 weeks later than promised but what can you do... If I don't buy it, someone else will.

I was about to order some accessories and asked the dealer for the VIN of the car. This morning, he sent me the VIN and confirmed the color and stuff. To my surprise, they ordered the sparkling bronze for me instead of titanium silver. I was thinking if it's white, grey or mineral silver, I can accept it. But the wife and I really don't like the sparkling bronze. I guess they are moving my order to one of their July production slots and he estimated a delivery in the 2nd week of August. This is my first BMW purchase but I am already disappointed. |

Is the roof rail now a standard feature for all X3's in Canada?
The dealer called and advised this is now standard ($150 extra) but I didn't add this when I ordered at the beginning of May because I don't like it. I told them I don't want it and he will see what he can do. First they screwed up the color, now they need me to pay $150 extra for something I don't need/like, I am pissed. |
