Installed SYLVANIA H7 SilverStar zXe Headlight Bulbs. My x3 needed a new low beam bulb. I replaced both. Much brighter than previous bulbs

On Christmas morning I installed a Burger Stage 1 on my wife's '17 35i. It is worth the pretty low price!!!!!

Repaired the taillight with a new LED driver. I could not find one thing wrong with the original LED driver but likely the voltage regulator was bad.

I had EBT coded in although i still can't stream audio
I've tried three different phones and they all only recognise the car as a headset as opposed to a speaker |

57,000kms / 6 years on N20 xdrive X3:
oil and filter brake fluid flush cabin and air filters spark plug and coil packs - mostly preventative/maintenance at this point. what was interesting: I believe the spark plugs and coil packs are the same specs across a number of engines. On our other 2011 X3 N52 it was misfiring and the spark plugs were in rough shape @ roughly same mileage. I wonder what was different with the N20 that it was not so bad (darkened housing, but not burnt and cruddy like the ones we pulled out of our N52). My wife does beat on this N20 though, primarily city driving and is running a tuning module. what was surprising: oil was seeping beneath the engine cover and found in random places around the engine and ancillaries. My mechanic is indicating valve cover replacement will be required eventually (not just the valve cover gasket). This is common? I am searching through F30post and this X3 forum right now for some details, but not so much information available it seems. Right now it's not that bad apparently as I have not had to top up oil between changes. Last edited by pokerface; 01-30-2019 at 04:22 PM.. |

BMW Kayak Rack
I purchased a kayak rack, so I can get to some favorite spots when the water warms a bit. This rack attaches to the factory crossbars. We still have snow on the ground, but in my mind it is already Spring

We have a 2015 X3 28i built 10/14... CPO till Nov 2020.
60,000 KM.... thought about getting rid, but will ride out and sell summer 20. Between now and then have to decide if our BMW years are about to come to an end....starting with the X3 run about. This whole timing chain saga and no recall has me questioning the company... which for the last 20+ years, I have had no personal issues with. |

Thank you. Being perfectly honest, there are a few blemishes but only I could see them and only if you view the mirrors from up close. They were the most difficult to wrap due to the compound curves. I could probably re-wrap them and get them perfect but as the saying goes, "Perfect is the enemy of good enough" so I'll leave them be. Nothing but compliments from people who see them!

I like the interior, but I think I'd prefer a glossier finish on the mirrors. Seems like it'd just look like matte plastic from further away. But good work, looks well done.

I think so too. But I wanted to keep it the same throughout and since it was my first shot, most of what I read said that gloss shows imperfections more than matte so that was my logic- keeping it easy. But I think I wil order some gloss finish just to play around with it.

Serviced my rear brakes. Jurid pads, ATE coated rotors & new wear sensor. Note the original BMW pads I took off were made by Jurid. It was really a pretty easy job.
