We often wonder what to put in this small accommodation?
I made a small box to place in the housing to store some accessories.

I think it will cost more in shipping than the part itself. I can happily give you the link to the file for printing if you wish.

Had drivers side headlight replaced due to dim daytime running light aka DRL. Thankfully under warranty.

For those who might search for it in the future. Reference this:

I have a new Maxton front lip and side skirts to put on when I have my H&R springs installed next weekend.

PS
Excuse the ugly edges of the wheels. Debating having them repaired or just holding out until I get new wheels.
Looking good! I also have white, wondering if your model came with blacked out trim around windows or if you did that? Would love to have a link to a part if bought, currently debating painting mine or trying to find a trim kit haha!

Trying to improve some things in the interior of my 2020 X3 M40i.

Black piano center console is a pain to keep dust free, fingerprints free and scratches free...

And the standard aluminum trim is a bit boring...

Edit: That's fake carbon fiber on the center console.. I'll probably get rid of it. Just trying to decide what to do as I'm afraid full black suede wont look good. Will probably try some dark gray suede for some contrast
Actually like the looks of the carbon fiber lol. Usually not a fan of carbon fiber, but on this area it looks nice to me. Did you buy a specific part for that or did you use carbon fiber adhesive (sticker? Can’t think of word lol)

I purchased the car with the shadowline package, so it came with all the black trim.

That's one feature I had as a must when looking for the car.

I never realized how much it changes the look until I saw your picture tbh lol. I absolutely need this done now. Just need to figure out if painting it or if there’s a trim kit that looks this good! I’m jealous lmao

I like the looks of carbon fiber too, and I think it looks even better together with the suede. But the pattern isn't great on this piece and if you pay close attention to the lines on the top part, you'll notice that they're a bit crooked. The kind of stuff that can happen when hydro dipping a carbon patern. Bought in from AliExpress as is.

You'll still have to do some homework going through the various menus for each section of the body and assembling 100% of the necessary pieces but the below link is a good place to start and may be your best bet.

Short of going to the dealer, you can get an endless amount of factory parts from GetBmwParts.com.

https://www.getbmwparts.com/v-2021-b...rim-front-door

This will more than likely get very pricey though, so if you trust yourself or a buddy to remove the existing trim and paint it that would be the much more cost effective option.

It was from the truck lid lock (#1 from diagram) and the metal hook thing (#2). Not sure if they are slightly misalign or the hook thing is just a tab smaller than it should be so they'd touch randomly when I'm driving. When they touch, it makes a really faint rattle/ creaking noise. My SA said he couldn't hear it though but he did help me fixed another more obvious noise when going over speedbump so ohh well.

Did some research here and found the solution from another post which is basically wrapping a piece of electrical tape at the hook at where it'd touch the lock. It has been a few days and there's no more noise even when I purposely drove few of the worst road in town.

Cleaned it and put the all season tires on. Feels like a different car, it's immediately noticeable even taking a turn out of the neighborhood at 15mph. Winter tires (DM-V2) were louder, had worse ride quality, and much worse handling. Should've swapped them out last month - 4 months of winter tires kind of sucks.
