Car was picked up yesterday. I purchased it Oct 28 with limited changes made to a dealer allocation for scheduled production wk47, week of Nov 29. Apparently, it was close to the modifications deadline cutoff. Previously changes were permitted up to two days before production. Dealer had delivery/inspection Dec 6. Thus there was no delay.
Fortunate and relived to get all my wants with no deletes other than expected 32Z Digital key and 48Z passenger lumbar support. The latter no credit, USA provides 100$. Interesting 493 Storage compartment package comes with only two anchors. My trade in x6 had four. |

I ordered the MY22 X4 30i in mid-Oct and was expected to get it delivered to local dealership around Jan-Feb. Recently I was told by my CA that my order's production date has been delayed to January from December.
I was also told that a lot of dealerships are not taking any new orders until Mid-Feb next year. Oh well, it's what it is. |

In case anyone needs a recent point of reference in terms of timeline, my allocation was slotted 11/10/21 and as of yesterday 12/16 it was dispatched from the plant and being relatively close, I expect it will be or has arrived at the dealer today.
So, given supply chain issues, things are still moving pretty well. AFAIK, the only deletes are digital key and passenger lumbar but nothing confirmed yet. **EDIT** confirmed, arrived today.

I doubt that anybody in Canada would get money back that would show up on the invoice for those 2. |

It just replace the physical key, not something that I would trust since if something happened to your phone you could be SOL I think. |

Your blue w/ black rims looks very sleek though - I prefer that to my white build - I just couldn't stomach the car looking like a$$ for 4-5 winter months (and I'm too lazy to wash constantly, especially when it's sub-freezing outside) so I stayed with safe old' white

Thanks, the pricing guide only shows a $600 credit for HK delete on the 30i. I was at the dealer Thursday, he keeps saying how lucky i was being able to receive all my wanted items, he was working on a x5 quote for another customer, sadly it had three delete credits.

FYI - I was able to confirm that mine arrived with touchscreen intact. Only deletes were the digital key and passenger lumbar. Shadowline grille was not on the build but when I go in to do the paperwork, etc. I'm going to make sure they include and install it when available at their cost since no credit is given for something that is supposed to be std.

Did some research on this and it sounds like a very common quip, but people typically say that BMW tells them it's 'within spec' and the best guidance is to adjust the height, rotation, and seating position to optimize for crispness. I have noticed that raising the HUD display higher does result in crisper imagery, but at the same time I don't like having it hanging out in the middle of my field of vision either. Will likely pick a spot somewhere in between with reasonably clarity but that's not too much 'in my face'..
