Thank you Shawn! Will try soon and report... I believe I should put the file to C:\ESysData\CAF folder?

P.S. Please advice what the difference between ...50.3full... and ...50.3lite... versions of dataset?

No. Put it in the CAFD Library folder, C:\ESysData\psdzdata\swe\cafd.

Lite has no flash firmware files, which are not needed for coding.

Thanks, Shawn, I did like that! After that FRM cafd was successfully read coding data and allowed me to edit FDL. But I was not able to code FDL to this module -error with no explanation... I believe my Esys can't deal with new cafd version.

Do I have a chance to return to my data version 48.3 of FRM cafd with the tools available? Or I need to jump to last versions of Esys/psdzdata pair to be able code FRM?

There is your problem. Your car has either ISTA/P 2.49.2, 2.49.3, or 2.49.4 on it, which means you must use use >= 49.4 PSdZData, which in turn means you also must have >= E-Sys 3.22.5 with Patch / Token.

PM sent.

Hi guys,

After a software update yesterday to fix some gearbox issues, they had reset all my coding.

Trying to code back it seems that all the files on my old E-Sys don't work anymore because of the CADF files on my car beeing updated now.

Any chance to get hold on New E-Sys files?

Soon I want to learn to code, but for now I just have a quick question (and want to upgrade to full status by posting this!).

Does an 2014 X3 with the August 2013 NBT update require any different coding software or data than what is presently available here?

Thanks,
Joel

Has anyone done this update? I'm interested to upgrade my NBT in my April '13 F25 to the newest software and the functions (read: android bmw apps) that come with it. I have Esys with 49.1 data. My dealer has a puma case open on it, and I dont know what the outcome of that will be so I'm pre-emptively looking to see if I can throw in the update myself if it's not blessed by BMW officially.

Sorry - realized I never posted up a picture of this - it is animated, I will try to get a video up on youtube of the animation on it also, but here is the pic for now of the i-drive startup. Coding it only changes the i-drive screen, nothing else in the HUD or Kombi.

E-Sys with PSdZData and an ENET Cable is for Fxx chassis only. For Exx chassis, you need NCS Expert with SP-Daten, and a DCAN Cable.

You must wait until you can receive PM's, or post an email address.

Hi Shawn,
Well after a few months and tons of research I'm now ready to do some coding on my new 2014 X3. Any chance I could get the link for the the E-sys software?
