Yes. You can set the temp...
Boy did I mess that up.

On my 2017 G30 if the outside temp is 40F or below both seats warmers and steering wheel automatically turn on. This car doesn't have remote start .
Now I was assuming with 2022 x3 equipped with remote start that I could start the machine from inside, let it warm up and both seats would be warm if outside temp was below 40.

It seems like with this luxury sav that is not going to be possible?
In my experience of my January 2022 build car. - all of the above is possible apart from the passenger seat heating.

You can have auto hot driver's seat, auto climate control and heated steering wheel. But automatic or remote heating of the passenger seat is not possible in LCI cars.

Well, not from what I can see!

PS - not looking to use BimmerCode to see if possible there until I get the remote CarPlay upgrade.

Yes, it does for the Driver but not for the Passenger.

Fuchen going backward, it did it in my 2020.

It doesn't "preheat", it just turns the seat heater on when the car is started and the temp is below the threshold you set. Now, if you use remote start to start the car and the temp is below that threshold, then yes, I guess you'd be preheating it

For 2022 LCI models in the UK is the size of the 'X3' boot/trunk badge a different size on the X3 M40 models compared to the M Sport models? There seem to be 2 different sizes available? Thanks

On this side of the pond, on the LCI, both the front and the back are 82mm.

Ok thanks. Not really about the front and back though, more whether size of the badge on the trunk is different on the M40 model compared to the MSport.

Not sure about the size, but the font is definitely different between the MSport and M40i. There's a good photo comparison of them somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

OEM part numbers

Where to find OEM part numbers for BMW X3 2021 Xdrive30e?
realoem.com doesn't have part numbers for each details, even if almost all details are shown on graphs. There is numbers indicating parts, but OEM part numbers are missing for some.
Mainly rear bumper end parts please.

On the 2022 X3 M40i, I noticed that the startup "roar" seems to vary. Sometimes on startup it will rev to 1500 rpm and sometimes it goes as high as 2300 rpm and sounds great. I didn't see a difference between drive modes. Does anyone else notice this or know what influences the startup rpm?

I've noticed the same thing and it seems completely random. Once the car has been warmed up, subsequent starts will sometimes roar, and other times just meow. Lol.

I’m guessing it’s random programming which is kind of cool. It definitely has some meows in the mix of things lol. It’s a pleasant surprise when the car really roars once in a blue moon.

I will usually start the car with the door open just to hear it sometimes it really pops and bangs on startup.

2022 X3M40i.

Do you guys have those little sill guards on the rear doors as well as the front doors? My X3 only has the entry sill plates on the Front doors Driver/Passenger and the Rear doors do not have any sill plates?

Front only from the factory, but I was able to source the sill from Amazon and have it installed.

Perhaps that startup roar is dependent on the time of day?

WHY is there a button on my door that allows me to close the mirrors while the car is running and in gear? And why does it not reset after leaving the car, lock/unlock, switch seating profiles???? I can NOT drive home from LAX without mirrors

Right now the link I bought it from doesn't exist. Not sure if Aliexpress or ebay has them in stock.

Are those rears just stick on with adhesive? Because the front actually have holes in the body/frame of the car that they snap into

I changed my front ones out for the M Performance Carbons ones because they look so nice.

Yeah it's just an adhesive sticking them on the door sill. Holding strong so far.
