So is my CA tells me the order is placed and that we should get a production number in August.. which means he’s waiting on an allocation? And then if we get a production number sometime in August, is there still a chance the car will be delivered late Sept/early Oct?? Thanks

Allocations released this week or next week are for September builds. They're not released throughout the month, only at the very beginning of the month. If they do get an allocation in the middle of the month, it's because they traded an allocation with another dealership.

That’s really interesting, thanks! I’ve got one dealer with an allocation for a week 34 build (8/20). The other dealer is waiting on an allocation and says he should get one Monday or Tuesday. No way the second dealer gets a slot before the first dealer, right? I really want to work with the second dealer, but getting the car as soon as possible is my top priority. Oh and I want to wrap this up before Monday… before dealer #2 knows anything about their allocation.

Correct, the 2nd dealer won't have an earlier allocation than the 1st, and is going to have an allocation for a September build.
